Maruti Suzuki is geared up to launch a new avatar of the Zen Estilo. This is the first major revamp the car has received since its launch in 2006, and our sources tell us it will be unveiled to the public on the 25th of August.

Maruti Suzuki India has increased the prices of various models including the recently launched A-Star by up to Rs 10,000. "The price increase has been necessitated due to the increase in input costs and foreign currency changes," the company said in a statement.

At an event held at Mundra Port, the first export shipment of Maruti Suzuki's A-star set out for Europe. The pilot consignment, comprising 1,534 A-stars for export to the UK (1,458) and Italy (76), is expected to reach the European ports by early February 2009.
