Toyota To Launch Small Car in 2010

Toyota Kirloskar will launch its new small car designed for the Indian car market by the end of 2010. The new small car will be produced in the new plant which is under construction in Karnataka. The preliminary production goal in the new plant is 70,000 units a year.
Toyota has invested Rs 3,000 crore in its new plant in Karnataka being set-up near the first plant. The hatchback is being designed for the Indian car market, and will have a petrol powerplant with almost 70% of localized parts. Toyota’s targets to grow its dealership network by 58% by the end of 2010.
