Honda Jazz coming on June 10
May 5, 2009 – 10:35 am by Rachit Hirani
Honda Jazz will hit the Indian streets by the 10th of this June. The car could cost around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) making it the most expensive hatch available in the Indian market.
Jazz will have to compete with other sedans which fall in the similar price bracket. The Jazz shares its platform with the City and 70% of its parts are localised to further cut down the expense.

It will cost around 7.5 lac. Who is going to buy such a costly hatch back in this financial turmoil… Honda guys are running out of brain..

This is going to be another setback, just like hundai had for i20.
Seems like honda is being over confident about the sell with the price tag like this.
5.50 lac to 6.0 was ok. but who would buy it for 7 lac? i think people would rather prefer a sedan

7.5L for a hatchback. It’s ok badge is HONDA, however price is way to high!!!

Its all in the brand. Honda wants to be distinctly ahead in terms of brand.
Just like the entry level ANHC is comparative to Top end Fiat Linea or Ford Fiesta.
I really doubt if the sales volume of Honda Jazz would be much different if they introduce it at Rs 6.0 lacs.

Is it really worth?? 7 lac! one should lookafter it

I am surprised by the sudden increase in price level of Honda Jazz. After an indication of price of 5 to 6 lakhs previously.Who cares even if it a Honda, it’s a Hatchback afterall. I would certainly go for a Swift Dezire at much less cost. Honda seems to have their assesment wrong. Jazz will fail only due to over-pricing issue. Matiz, Palio are the example and honda must have a base version at 5.5 lakhs if it aims for volume in India.

Be careful about Honda Jazz. Do check each & everything before going for it. I have taken New Honda City recently & really suffering with it. Interiors are not upto the mark. Roof top already started coming down from the front wind shield. I have checked many new Honda city & the problem has started to devlop in most of them. So friend be careful with Honda stuff. Good from outside & engine but poor interiors. Good luck friend & hope Honda improves.

I don’t think that people are fool enough to go for Honda Jazz. I can get 2 Indica’s for that price that also DLX version. beware of Honda Cars!!!!

It’s really overprised. who is going to have a hatch back car for starting price 7 lakhs when you can get a sedan as Linea at the same price.
By Milind on May 11, 2009
Be careful, before buying Jazz, it is higlhy over priced.

Honda should have learn’t from civic hybrid’s high pricing mistake.

I think maruti suzuki ritz would be a better option. Compared the specs with that of i10, and ritz is way too ahead, and that too at a lower price

This is totally crappy……….no point in paying so high price.
I test drove Ivtec city ( on road bangalore price rs. 10,00,500). The car has bumpy ride, space is good, plastics are cheap, typres are bad ( even i20 gets better tyre), no alloys, music system is ok, Gear and engine is good,
City is really over priced.
Same way Jazz, honda is cheating indian conusmer by selling cars at 150% than the global prices.
Better to look at other manufacturers. Even you have look at ford vehicals, there spares price have come down now drastically.

–I agree with above comment. I would go for INDICA VISTA QuadraJet and still save money for Maruti Astar for my wife
