Maruti Suzuki will be using the K12M engine for its upcoming model Ritz. This engine fulfills the BS-IV norms. The engine was unveiled at its Gurgaon plant.
The K12M displaces 1197cc, and the four cylinders together rustle a power of 84bhp producing a torque of approximately. The engine is squarish in shape like most of its new trend siblings with a shorter stroke length.
This petrol engine will be used in Ritz which is expected to be launched in a couple of months. The company statement said, “The Ritz will be yet another compact car to join the company’s A2 offering that includes Alto, Zen Estilo, A-star, Wagon R and Swift. The Ritz is in advanced stage of preparation for a formal launch shortly.”

In addition, the Ritz has a boot space of 1150 ltrs, MacPherson strut coil spring, Torsion Beam
