Grande Punto to hit the Indian roads by Mid-2009

Fiat will launch its Grande Punto by mid-2009. The Punto is ready for production but the company has kept its plans on hold to increase its dealer network to handle the large numbers.
The Grande Punto will be available in petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant will have the 1.4l engine and the 1.3l multijet engine will be used for the diesel version.

I am eagerly waiting for the launch of GP !
But, one question : Why they are not providing atleast one model with 1600 cc powertrain? After all, they have been supplying a Palio with one ! I only withheld my decision of buying a Palio was because of the impending launch of the Punto.
Fiat people are the best in making solid and secure cars. I wish them every success.
