Honda to launch Jazz by mid-2009

Honda is expected to launch the Jazz by mid-2009. The Japanese manufacturer will launch its first hatchback for the Indian auto market.
The Honda Jazz will be powered by a 1.2l petrol engine. The Jazz will be based on the existing City’s platform and will share a proportion Honda city components to reduce the cost. The car will be equipped with features like ABS, airbags and G-CON. The Jazz will be priced a level below the City will compete with the premium hatchbacks in India.

Price Tag of 7lakhs for a hatchback in price sensitive Indian market is bizarre. Honda should re-consider it, else it will be a big flop show just like i20.

I was waiting eagerly for the Jazz but the price tag is not worthwhile, will consider the Fiat Grande Punto instead.

Hi want to buy a car in July….was planning to take i20 or Swift but now thinking of waiting for Honda Jazz to come on road…..but sure would like to know abt the pricing of the Jazz & when it would be availbale for booking??
