Ford Fusion TDCi Tested By CarWale.com
August 7, 2007 – 9:02 pm by Ashish JhaIt’s raining diesels, and Ford wouldn’t miss out on capitalizing on this trend. After tasting decent success with the Fiesta diesel, Ford bolted the same engine under the hood of its most talked-about car in the recent past, Fusion TDCi. We put her through the paces. You can check out the elaborate road-test and the photographs of the car here.

Good Road test review.
What’s new in this when you are installing same engine of Fiesta in Fusion? It’s understood you will get the same fuel efficiency. I am not against Fusion but when we talk about PRICE without ABS, Alloy wheels, music system, moon roof, leather seats and so many things that really matters. Rs 7.65 lakh and almost Rs 8 lakh on-road price.
WHEN A COMMON PERSON CAN UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS, I AM VERY MUCH SURPRISED WHY FORD IS NOT UNDERSTANDING THIS OR THEY DON’T WANT TO.
People are very clever now you can’t fool them.
When Skoda Fabia and Fiat Punto will launch then where it will stand?
To make market of FUSION they have to put down the price otherwise…………….NOW IT IS SHOW PIECE and after some time NO MORE SHOW PIECE

Hi..
I totally agree with sanjeev sharma’s statement
“To make market of FUSION they have to put down the price otherwise……………. NOW IT IS SHOW PIECE and after some time NO MORE SHOW PIECE”.
And after some time people will find rust & dust on the vehicle in the showroom itself.

Absolutely agree with both you guys. Had this car been priced between 5.5 to 6 lakh, the Fusion could still be expected to sell in decent numbers.

Hi, Iam Sunil proud owner of Ford Fusion Petrol which I purchased in Aug 07. It has great features like good ground clearence for bumpy roads. Pickup is great as well as the AC also is damn good. Seating is very comforatble and even when I travelled 1300km at a stretch and didnt get tired. The pickup is excellent and the stability even at 160kmph is great. Only cons with this car is with the suspensions and the brakes. Good SUV at a reasonable price.
