Hyundai India planning to export CKD kits
August 29, 2008 – 3:27 pm by Charles PennefatherHyundai Motor India Ltd is planning to export CKD kits to further accentuate their position as the biggest automobile exporter in the country.
HMIL will invest $50 million in a new press shop at Superimbdur to generate the necessary volumes. It will also increase the number of engines it will manufacture by one lakh to seven lakh engines annually. Mr. H S Lheem, MD, HMIL, has said that the exporting of kits could begin next July, with initial numbers of about 30,000 units.
