Honda launches Civic Sport
August 11, 2008 – 5:49 pm by Charles Pennefather
Honda Siel Cars India has launched the evil twin of the Civic Hybrid: the Civic Sport. The Civic Sport will retail for Rs 13.26 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi (know on-road price).
The Civic Sport is a limited-edition variant to commemorate Honda selling 300,000 cars in India. It is powered by the same 1.8-litre engine that the regular Civic possesses, but it gets skirts all around that lower the car visually, along with a rear wing to add to the ‘go faster’ appearance. The gear knob will have a number on it to further authenticate the model’s limited edition credentials.

Well if many in the western world surviving on animal source for nourishment for ages can think of vegetarianism and avoid use of leather, we Indians as a natural response must shun leather goods. I suspended my purchase of the Civic as the SAT model with fabric option was dicontinued long ago in 2007 itself. Whenever I am in position to buy one, I will go for the Civic only if it is available without even an inch of leather.

Hi,
Civic is a very good car I drove once when it was lauched. Sports version will attract only youngsters and most of them cant afford one. Does Honda think that they can achieve the sales target in CIVIC SPORTS.
