Mahindra launches special edition Logan Edge
July 23, 2008 – 2:47 pm by Charles Pennefather
The worldwide facelift of the Logan had been announced not too long ago, and the Indian Logan gets an update as well – but it isn’t merely skin deep. The Logan Edge was launched today in New Delhi.
The Logan Edge gets a whole gamut of features that add to the bare-bones sedan it was before. Safety is attended to by parking sensors, ABS and EBD. A Kenwood system that is USB/iPod compatible and possesses a remote, beige leather upholstery and a wood-finish centre console help things along on the inside. To make it look the part, it is available in a new colour, Mystique Purple, with body graphics as well. The Logan Edge price range begins at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the 1.4 GLX petrol and goes all the way to Rs 7.15 lakh for the 1.5 DLSx turbodiesel with ABS.
This is certainly a shot in the arm for the Logan, but the car’s looks still are staid. If you prefer the rear seat on your commute to work, the Logan Edge should be on your list when you go car shopping, as the frugal engines and good ride quality are now supplemented by much better interiors.
