Chevrolet Spark gets cheaper

July 3, 2008 – 6:58 pm by Charles Pennefather

Chevrolet SparkThe price of everything might be rising, but GM India’s on a high, what with a new plant just about ready to begin production. They’re offering takers a sweet deal on the baby of their range, the Spark.

The Spark’s beginning price will be Rs 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for a limited period to celebrate the new plant. This is over Rs 20,000 off the Spark’s usual price, and makes it definitely worth a dekkho if you’re in the market for a small car.

  5. spark may bring on the emotions associated with the old cutie from the daewoo stables but my test drive and contact with the local gm seller, made me think twice- for the features it is tad overpriced. service and support leaves far too much to be desired. it is almost like a govt. office.

  6. @ Simran,
Yes you can easily fit LPG kit in your spark. Infact GM India will be shortly coming with SPARK LPG version like WagonR Duo.

    @ Subramanian,
Please let us know about your experience with the dealer.(krunal.jobanputra@gm.com) We would certainly put our efforts in improving our dealerships.

  7. I prchased GM-Aveo and within 14 months battery went flat.I had to get the same replaced at my cost. The din 55 exide freedom battery which is guranteed for 5 yrs in the market is covered for only one year when supplied with GM car. It only means that GM is using sub standared battery.
GM or their dealer offer no solution to this and their customers are sufferers
