Need help? Mail Hyundai Guys!
April 11, 2006 – 9:45 am by Banwari Lal SharmaDo you have anything to ask about Hyundai product e.g. Santro or Accent? If yes, don’t wait a second, drop a mail at their official e-mail address and forget… Trust me, they will forget to reply too! I had asked them a couple of questions regarding Santro Xing history and I am still awaiting their response, its a week now!
Their site shows Santro Xing XL doesn’t have Front Power Windows while Santro Xing XL has. Now you can’t trust their data along with their customer support. I was considering hyundai.co.in as one of the most active site among Indian OEMs, but nay, I was wrong, they proved it.
Its not the case with Hyundai only. I sent a mail to Tata Motors asking for Safari Petrol and TCIC colors yesterday and still there is no response at all. I am not expecting the answer anymore. I had had similar experience with other OEMs as well. Considering these facts, it seems India desperately needs a proven good source of information.
Along with showing detailed specification of various model/versions, we are starting to show Colors available and detailed features. But Alas! As of now we are dependent on these OEMs for the data.
Another cool feature has been introduced in carwale, you can write review on your favourite car. We have received two such reviews in two days of its launching. I will write in detail about more new features being availed on Carwale.com this week. ![]()

Sat,
1.Learn to drive properly.(gear shift,clutch operation,accelaration control etc etc.)
2.Don’t use roads which has heavy traffic.
These are the only way how you make current Santro more fuel efficent !!

In Jan 08, I shifted to Daman from Mumbai. I own two Hyundai Santros. These cars were bought and serviced at Sharayu Motors, Sanpada,Navi Mumbai. In Daman, one car started making a knocking sound and on checking with the maintenence Manual, I took the car to the Authorised Service Centre, Sudeep Motors,Vapi, Gujarat to check on the same. The first time I was advised to have a PMS done with the assurance that the knocking sound would stop. The PMS was done and the noise continued.I informed the manager of the service station and he told me to take my car as there was nothing much he could do just then.
I went back from Daman(a distance of about 15 kms and sadly lacking in public transport facilities) and now they checked the shocks. One completely damaged shock absorber was changed. There was no one present to hand over the car to me and noise after paying the bill was worse.
I wnet back to Sudeep Motors for the third time. I handed over the vehichle to the “mechanic” at the Showroom and thenI subsequently discover that the “mechanic” was someone who happened to walk into the Showroom for a day’s casual labour. (No authorised or Company trained mechanic here) I pay collect the car and come back, with all the knocking sounds as loud as ever. I complain to Hyundai on their site. No response for the past 3 weeks.
Who do I go to ? The press??
