Michelin steps up its OE operations in India
April 16, 2009 – 3:00 pm by CarWale TeamMichelin India Tyres Private limited has announced that they have begun supplying the Energy MXV8 tyre to Honda Accord V6. Michelin India is already OE supplier to two other Honda models - Civic and New CITY (Energy MXV8 and Energy XM1, respectively.
“This deal is an integral part of our long term strategy for the Indian market and also reinforces our ongoing relationship with Honda” said Mr. Jean Paul Caylar, the CEO of Michelin in India.
“Michelin Energy MXV8 tyre will match up to the performance of the rest of our Energy tyre series, and will bring to the customers best overall performance in terms of safety, low-noise level & better fuel efficiency” added Mr. Caylar.
The Energy MXV8 is chosen by main Asian car makers for its silence and fuel savings. The tyre is designed for cars in the midsize segment.
