Tata Indigo Manza launched
October 14, 2009 – 8:27 pm by Rachit Hirani
Tata Motors launched its new Indigo Manza in Mumbai earlier today. The car is available with petrol and diesel engine options and has four trim levels – Aqua, Aura, Aura(ABS) and the top of the line Aura+. The petrol range starts at Rs 4.8lakh, and the top diesel range costs Rs 6.75lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
The petrol powered Manza sports a 1.4-litre, 89bhp SAFIRE engine and the diesel has the now familiar, 1.3-litre 89bhp Quadrajet engine, both picked from the Fiat stable. Tata says, that the Indigo Manza is the eighth new-generation car launched by the Tata-Fiat collaboration, since January 2008..
Tata had launched its Indigo on 18th December 2002 and the new Indigo Manza is based on the platform of the Indica Vista which was launched last year. ARAI claims the diesel 21.02km/l and the petrol returns an economy of 14.5km/l. The top variant of the Manza, the Aura+ comes with ABS and dual airbags, not to mention such goodies as a Bluetooth compatible in-dash audio system, climate control, trip computer and alloy wheels.
As you can see from the pictures, the Manza is a fairly well sized sedan and has a huge well shaped boot which will have no problems accommodating large suitcases. The interiors are also fairly roomy and the plastic quality and general fit and finish seem to have improved over what one normally has come to expect in a Tata car. The Manza, with it’s typically Tata value-for-money proposition will now take on the segment top-sellers – the Logan, Swift DZire and the Fiesta.

This will give the DZire a run for its money. Looks odd but much better than the DZire.

The car looks decent. The features are excellent. Hope the suspension is much stronger as compared to other Tata cars.

Tata has passion for making things the best. They believe in continuing quality of work. This is indeed an unbiased takeaway from FIAT collaboration on engine and its performance. The car looks good and expect it to compete with all premium cars in India. The best thing about TATA is spares will be made available, service points will be good, the pricing will be reasonable if not cheap. Cheap would compromise on quality. Thus, I expect it to be a price performance car.

Guys the Manza site is now available. Check it out @ http://www.cars.tatamotors.com/IndigoManza/index.html.
I think the price of the top end model 6.9 lakhs for the features that this car offers is not much at all. And it looks like one helluva VFM package from TATA this time. I have already booked my test drive !

The car is having so many features in its range. The engine is same which is fitted in Fiat linea. It is more or less similar to Fiat Linea which is costlier than Manza.I think it gives you value for your money.

suuuuuuuuuuuper car………

Manza has got an excellent engine and lot of features which are of interest to the buyer.
All the TATA cars are very good loking except Manza. Manza from front side is OK but from backside is not pretty looking.
I hope TATAs take care of this appearance. REDDY

I just took a test drive today. Believe me guys, the feeling is awesome ! Gear shift is smooth and looks are much much better than any other sedan in this segment. Interiors have been worked upon by TATA this time for sure and one can feel it while sitting in the car ! Just go for a test drive and check it out yourself.

By YOGESH SHUKLA on Nov 27, 2009
Test drive was pleasant. Ultimately decided to purchase the Aura saffire. But still carrying in mind a doubt about the post purchse service. TATA to strenthen their post service facility to eliminate the fear of the people in this regard. Othersise it is good
