Skoda Yeti to be launched in India

Skoda has unveiled its SUV, the Yeti at the Geneva Motor Show which commenced on the 3rd of March 2009. The car will come with two petrol and three diesel engines.

The Czech based company should introduce the 1.2l petrol variant and 2.0l diesel engine for the Indian market. The entry level car will be front wheel driven SUV. The SUV will be available with a Four Wheel Drive variant.

Skoda India plans to launch the car in India few months after its launch in the European markets. The company is currently testing the SUV for the Indian road conditions. The Yeti is expected to hit the European markets in a few months time.
