True Value relaxes regulations
August 4, 2008 – 2:49 pm by Charles PennefatherMaruti Suzuki India has relaxed the regulations for the cars that can be sold to a True Value dealership. Until now, only cars no older than ten years and with less than 100,000km on the odometer were eligible for sale.
From now on, cars of any age and condition will be accepted. In a worst-case scenario, the value of the car as scrap is determined and offered as a price. Maruti has managed to do this by building a database of scrap dealers across the country and inviting them to an auction with a collection of cars up for auction. The scrap dealers are provided with detailed information about each car. Go on, knock off the covers off that rust heap lying in your garage and exchange it for a Maruti.
