Four-wheeled Pulsar?
July 10, 2007 – 8:57 pm by Ashish JhaBajaj revealed that it is planning to launch a prototype of its small car at the upcoming Auto Expo in January 2008. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, BAL, was quoted as saying “It will be like a Pulsar on four wheels and not Maruti at half its price.” Reading between the lines, does it mean that it will not be a cheap car? Your guess is as good as ours.
If well received at the Auto Expo, the concept car may go into production and will see the light of the day in three years henceforth. Adding to the news, Rajiv Bajaj also said that the engine, transmission and the platform that are already being used by Bajaj will form the basis for their passenger car. The company has earmarked about Rs 750crore for a four-wheeler manufacturing facility to produce 40,000 to 50,000 units annually.

Since the cost is almost half of Maruti-800 & it is water cooled so it will be an excellent off road as well as a sports vehicle like 4 wheel bike popular in developed countries.
