Audi India has shown consistent growth over the last six months and recorded impressive sales of 821 cars for the first half of the year 2009, a growth of 75 per cent compared to the sales registered during the corresponding period last year (470 cars). <span id="more-2666"></span></p>
<p>Commenting on the remarkable performance, Mr. Benoit Tiers, Managing Director Audi India said: “Audi India recorded growth in the first half of 2009, both in terms of sales and network expansion.“</p>
<p>The entire Audi model range comprising the Audi Q5, the new Audi A6, the Audi A8, the Audi Q7, the Audi A4, the Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8 is available at 11 dealerships across the country: in Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.</p>

<p>The car will feature rear disc brakes, a new front grille and bumper with 17 inch alloys, a new Multi-Information Display and a 6-CD changer.</p>

Sales in the domestic market grew by 9.51 per cent to 61,773 units in June from 56,411 units in the same month last year, while exports rose by nearly three-fold to 13,336 units compared to 4,836 units in the year-ago period, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.<span id="more-2648"></span></p>
<p>The company&#8217;s sales crossed 70,000-units mark for the sixth consecutive month, besides registering highest-ever export for a single month, it added. Sales of M800 declined by 54.52 per cent at 2,438 units against 5,361 units last year, while A2 segment (comprising Alto, Wagon R, Zen Estillo, Swift, A-Star and Ritz) witnessed a growth of 22.21 per cent at 46,156 units compared with 37,767 units in the same month last year.</p>
<p>Sales in the A3 segment (consisting of SX4 and DZiRE increased by 5.03 per cent to 6,099 units compared to 5,807 units in the corresponding period last year, the company said. MSI&#8217;s passenger car sales rose by 10.17 per cent at 61,583 units against 55,899 units in the same month in 2008, the statement said.</p>

<p>It will have a gasoline powered engine, with a front wheel drive and a propeller for the flight. The wings of the car fold in 30 seconds and the car can be parked like other normal cars. The car will cost around Rs 1 crore and the company’s testing so far has been very successful.</p>
<p>The Vice-President of the company said in an interview with the Canadian TV, &#8220;Our depositors represent a wide-cross section in terms of age, interests, and intended use of the vehicle. We have deposits from both experienced pilots and non-pilots who intend to earn their Sport Pilot certificate.&#8221;</p>
