Every 4 seconds a used and every 2.5 seconds a new car is searched at CarWale.com
October 9, 2007 – 3:24 pm by Tufail KhanThere was mad rush of e-commerce portals and every one was hoping that internet will change we buy stuff. Consumers were hopeful of getting best deals and manufactures were excited on the prospects of reaching end consumer directly cutting middle-man cost.
But things turned out opposite, most of the models started in late 90s and early 2000 failed and there was a feeling that e-commerce is unrealistic. But few were courageous to stand tall even in those times and they have proved that internet is going to stay and will change the way we work. Dell probably sells more laptops online today than by other channels. Books and electronic items online sale is increasing every passing month.
Question is whether internet can do the same with the cars. CarWale.com’s CEO Mr. Mohit Dubey say, “Its not very far when people will research cars on line, check for the best offer and book their purchase online. We will see new car selling very soon, but issue is with used car sale. Buyers worry about the genuineness of the sellers claim and that’s where certifying agency’s role becomes important.”
Today every 4 seconds a used car is searched at CarWale.com and every 2.5 seconds a new car is searched. People get the on road price quote for new car and check the availability and location of used car at CarWale.com
Time is not far when you will return home from office to see your wife has ordered brand new Honda City to surprise you!

Dear Sir,
I am planning to buy a new car this year, which diesel car would you recommend - Ford Fiesta or Ford Fusion or Hyundai Verna or the Skoda Fabia or any new diesel car coming out this year? My order of choosing a car would be - Fuel Economy, Resale value, Performance, Ground clearance, good boot, spacious interiors, value for money. Why is the Ford Fusion not so popular even though it has now the diesel engine - it seems a excellent vehicle given Indian road conditions and practical needs? Also, when is the new Toyota Corolla (diesel) coming out and what would you think it would cost? My wife and I travel a lot in the city and do about 3 to 4 out of Goa road trips in the country within a year, so please recommend a car keeping this in mind?
Also, what color would you recommend, keeping resale value in mind?
Thank you and looking forward to an early reply.
