Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) registered a decline in cumulative sales for the month of January 2009. While domestic sales dropped by 13.5%, exports grew by 20.9 %. Cumulative sales, however, dropped by 1.3%.

Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched extended warranty schemes for its customers. The Power Train and Comprehensive Extended warranty schemes are available for all owners of the Hyundai i10, Santro, Getz Prime (petrol), Accent and Verna for a period of five years.

Yesterday's budget impact has been quite pleasant for small-car buyers. Almost all small-car manufacturers have reduced their small car prices from 5,000 to 20,000 rupees. Hyundai, Maruti and GM had taken the new prices in effect immediately.
