The S60 is Volvo's sedan that will compete with the likes of BMW's 3-series, Mercedes-Benz's C-Class and Audi's A4. A new model will be put on display at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year, and Volvo has released the first official images of the sedan.

Christopher Bangle, the top designer of BMW has decided to quit BMW at the end of the February. The German car manufacturer states that the American designer will leave the automotive industry altogether.

General Motors India is planning to introduce its Cadillac range to the Indian auto market. The Detroit-based company had initially planned to launch its Hummer SUV in India. GM will introduce the Cadillac CTS to compete with German luxury brands Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW.

The BMW Sauber F1 Team raised the curtain on its 2009 season in Formula One in Valencia this morning. Robert Kubica (24) and Nick Heidfeld (31) unveiled the BMW Sauber F1.09 shortly. Kubica then took the car for its first lap of the southern Spanish circuit.
