Tata Safari 2.2VTT Front Scratch my head. Flip through the pages. Yawn. Search the WWW. Scratch my head some more. Result? Confused still. Where, where where? Where on earth should I take her? Damn, nothing's coming to mind. It should be done somewhere tranquil. No. Doing it somewhere rocky would be interesting. Nah. How about taking her on the sand? Argh... this will turn me mad! So to lay rest to all the hard work my grey cells were doing, I decided to take her to somewhere tranquil, somewhere rocky as well as to where I would find sand to have some fun with her. What a man with what a mind I am! Oh, I am talking about taking the Tata Safari 2.2VTT, no female of human species, mind you.

Tata Safari 2.2VTT Dynamic This decided, I grabbed the keys of the latest from the Tata stable and headed to... er... I don't know where! With the Safari 2.2VTT tanked up, I din't really care where I was headed. One bend to another. One turn to another, I just kept going in the direction my heart would ask me to. It was not the road I wanted to be on. I wanted to jump with the car into the fields, on the rocks, go dune-bashing. This car had been creating a lot of stir in the market, so it ought to be something special. And crazy as hell, I wanted to find out that 'something special' element.

A typical road-test generally has looks and design of the car being talked about first with interiors and equipments coming in second and performance and mileage being talked about at the end. I however, am not going to follow the same trend. I am not going to follow the set protocol. No. I am not going to do that because I did not really gape at the "oh, it looks almost exactly the same as the old one" kind of looks. And I also did not lose sleep on the "damn, this is not good" kind of interior.

Tata Safari 2.2VTT Kept on going to the destination which I had no clue of and the Safari 2.2VTT started to talk to me. Literally. Slot the first gear and you expect "I just hope this thing does not take off" sort of acceleration. You ought to, a 140bhp machine this is afterall! But as I said, the Safari 2.2VTT started talking to me. Dial in the revs to shoot off the line and the engine says, "baah, why have you woken me up from my slumber? Now repent." But the adamant guy that I am, forced it out of bed and pressed the pedal to the floor. The engine was really lazy till 1600 revs but beyond that the 2179cc common-rail engine opened its eyes wide and burst with anger. It screamed. It growled. "You are going to pay for this" it said and leapt ahead with an urgency which was least expected.
