This review might be helpful for guys like me who are confused to buy U-VA and Getz 1.1.

Getz 1.1 - Smoother Gear shifts but poor pick up. (In Second gear the car took its own time to accelerate inspite of accelerator pressed fully). I am scared wether it will make up any hilly rides...

U-VA - Not so smooth Gear shifts but OK. Pick up is better than Getz 1.1 sufficient for good ride.....(Gives me better confidence on engine) ...

I have a big question mark on after sales support & resale value on GM cars where Hyundai cars are considered better than U-VA...So Getz and U-VA owners - Please help me in chossing one of them.. Decision is still on hold - which one to go!

    Hi Gaurav,

I bought the U-VA a month back and am fully satisfied with it. Before deciding on it I had taken the test drives and evaluated all the 3 cars in the segment i.e., Getz, U-VA & Swift. The spacious interiors of the U-VA combined with a peppy and smooth engine and an excellent ride quality give you a good ownership experience.

I am not so much worried about the resale value. You buy a car with your heart not your head.

So go ahead and pick up the U-VA. You won't regret it.

I think you should check the status of service at your location.
B'cos it was be different from dealer to dealer.
Volume of Aveo is low when compared to Fiesta b'cos of the petrol version of the car.

Offlate CEO of GM, communicating in tv and print that GM assures mainteance free 3- yrs !! Hope this would give confidence to car buyers to go for GM, who otherwise are Maruti loyals. Self included... I am Maruti loyal but ready to try UVA this time, overlooking Swift !!

i have heard a lot of talk about the sluggish pick up and engine power (looking at 1.2 L size) of uva.....not tested it myself
getz is out of question since it's not much value for money....swift is the real competitor for uva if you are not looking at resale value
