I have had this car for a year now. Extremely happy with its performance. Gives me between 12 & 14 kms /ltr in the city with AC on (Switch off engine for waits more than a minute). Extremely comfortable interiors, silent and smooth running-takes the tiredness out of long drives. Havent changed any parts so cannot comment on the cost of spares yet, servicing and oil costs not very different from other models.
Ground clearance is less-need to be very careful while going over speed breakers/road humps. Avoid tight situations while overtaking on the highway as the car does not respond fast enough.
Service by Whitefield Honda is good. Overall a good car to own.

    bro, i m also planning to buy a city zx or sx4, u tell which is better one. i preffer city. but how is the preformance and fuel economy and the cost of spares and after sales service.

    Hi Amit, performance & fuel economy are both very good, after sales at bangalore is good, about spare parts-havent had to change any parts till now , understand from older honda owners that spares are expensive, but most parts are extremely reliable and changes are few. Havent driven a SX4, looks good with good ground clearance, rear space seems to be less than city, also does not match city for fuel economy, however maruti is offering more for the same money. Go for the Honda.

    Brother, I have to take decision on ZX Gxi(i-DSI) or ZX Vtec (VTEC) .
    I know from survey Gxi gives 12-14kms , but how much Vtec gives on fuel consumption ?

    sorry vaibhav - havent looked at the optra hands on- heard the magnum is good though, more over the present model of honda city is going out in november
