I have been driving the Fiat Uno 1.2El AC for the past six years and have also driven the1.7Trend AC which my cousin owns. the petrol version has awesome power. the fuel economy in city is decent with 12kmpl and highway are fascinating figures of 22-25kmpl. The gear shifting is quite smooth as compared to the likes of Indica and Santro. It comfortably makes speeds of 140-150kph. the engine seems to strained while overtaking with the AC on. But turning off while overtaking for about 4-5secs is not a great problem to get the punch form the engine. The 1.2 and 1.7 engines can comfortably give honda city and toyota qualis respectively a run for money.
the 1.7diesel makes a noise in 1st and 2nd gears which goes off in 3rd but one cannot grumble as it is expected from diesel.
