Hey Avishek, Have you ever really driven stil1 1.1????? I am sorry to say this to you but I personally have tested this car and my friend owns it. with 100% AC on it gives you 13KMPL in city if you know driving basics. and if you drive at 60-80 on highways it gives you 17-19KMPL
Ravi, I own a Palio Stile 1.1. SLX and at least in Mumbai city driving with A/C, it hardly manages a 9 kmpl (after first servicing). You may have driven the car, but I am sure your friend is not telling the truth about the fuel efficiency. I would be the happiest person if the car even does 11 kmpl (rather then the 13 you are saying), after all I have to live with it now.
Thimmaraj, YEAH i agreee with Avishek.. Fiat cars r damn good engine wise but very bad fuel economy.. 10Kmpl is the max i have heard from some of my friends owning Palio..

I've been driving my stile 1.6 sport for more than a month now - have 1.5k kms on the odo, the fuel readings are 9.3, 9.8, 12.4 and 9.1kmpl, around 40% highways, and 60% city, with a/c on around 50-60% of the time. I don't understand how it can be 7kmpl with the 1.1! You should try another gas station, as your current one looks to be ripping you off with bad quantity or quality - i've always used Shell so far, changed gears at around 2k rpm for the 1st 500kms, and at around 2.5k there on......
pallio stylis is v v good looking car with all comforts.i wish to buy it but realy feared about fuel efficiency as well as after sale service.if company guarantees average of 14km/ltr,i will be first one to buy it definitely.users pls suggest. dr.v.k.agrawal
don't think the 1.1 will give you bad mileage its around 13 kmpl , well thats assuming you aren't in bumper to bumper traffic all the time also please check where you refuel your car
Have you got the car checked , these figures seems very low for 1.1l car. Or there is some issue with the driving conditions, or a lot of idling is happening.
Well, I give you the practical figures of mileage that I am getting while driving in Mumbai city.. definitely car runs at slow speed due to traffic but at nights, etc. it still cruises. Still I manage to get a mileage of between to 8 to 9 kmpl only..

Always a hot discussion - "Fuel Efficiency". As per the technology-specification of 1.1Ltr I believe it should give 13/14 kmpl. Try this: a) Full your tank (auto cut off at pump). b) Note down the mileage/meter reading. c) Drive car for another 100 kms in your normal routine and habit. d) Go to the same fuel pump and request for full-tank (auto cut off). e) Now calculate the correct figure. Remember: a) The petrol pump-nosal has 3-4 different cut off levels. So, ensure its same for bo
F.E does depend on driving habits: a) Always follow the user manual for gear change, acceleration, braking recommendations etc. There is a wealth of information in the user-manual typically we don't read. b) Even then if the problem persist have the car checked. Any thing from clogged spark plugs, carbonized engine to exhaust problems can lead to poor F.E.
I guess, May of you have good comments on the Fuel efficiency. My views on my new Palio Stile SLX 1.1 is pretty neutral. Two Concern areas - 1. With AC on, the power comes down a lot, atleast when you are driving with city traffic, where you need to change the gears a lot. You dont feel good about it. You need to bring down the gear, where ideally you dont have to. 2. Mileage - not competative enough with its class & range of other cars. --- Can anyone suggest any remedy to combat this ?
All, I have been driving the car since 1.5months and its now done 2100kms. Average fuel consumption is 14.9kmpl(60% highway and 40% bumper to bumper city traffic). My parents have travelled in my Brothers Xing (GLS, Dec 07 model) and found the ride really very tiring with a lot of pitching. When they travelled in FIAT, their opinion is "Superb ride" and they didnt feel any discomfort. Only bad point is the Frequent gear change need in city as the engine is "Really sluggish".
Mr. Avikesh Modi you have Palio Stile 1.1 SLX Really. but milage which you quote that is wrong actual average getting in my car is 13 to 14 in City. So Please take advise from TATA Dealer is there any problem with your car. Regards, Raj
Please dont quote mileage figures like 10kmpl with 60 % city and 40 % highway. Please quote mileage figure In city with Ac on. When i take my accent to highway even once for around 20 kmpl i get a mil of 10 to 10.5 max, else in city with ac traffic it is always 8.5 to 9.5.
Well, I am not sure how this is possible. I own a Fiat Palio 1.2 since last four years. I have never got a mileage under 10 even in Mumbai! I bought it in Mumbai. Such kind of information has actually done lot of harm to prospects of this car itself! Please check the mileage as Vinay has suggested. My sister has a Santro and it never gave mileage more than my Palio! May be a 0.5 Km plus or minus in same conditions.
I am planning to buy Fita Stile 1.1 but, getting neveous after reding these comments. Really it is not worth to buy looking at the other choice we have.
