Its a great car to buy especially with its new Dicor engine which is considerably refined to its older counter-part. Tata has provided a lot of features with it, a lot really means a lot, some you won't even get in the D+ segment cars. It has a very long wheel base, this car has actually been stretched to give a lot of space in it, extension over the ordinary one is 200mm, this is good but it really makes the car look odd, even 100mm extra would have done the job and rest of the 100 mm should have been  increased in equal propotions from the front and the boot to give it a good sedan look. The rear door is very big and moreover they are advertising it as a chaffeur driven car and also provided a lots of features for rear passengers like separate AC vents, TFT screens, charging point and foldable trays at back of the front seats etc. At  around 7.50 lakhs for the diesel, it is a good car but lacks the good car feel and definately not as powerful and refined as the Verna & Fiesta respectively, but still one can buy it for the unlimited luxury features it comes with.

I purchased Indigo XL Classic petrol version in Nov. 2007 from HAN Motors, Andheri west. The vehicle is useless. The first day of purchase it starts givin me trouble. In the sapn of 2 years, the vehicle was taken 5 times to the garage by two van. Its engine is getting automatically locked due to immobiliser. ( This was told by Wasan Motors maechnic). I repleced trhe immobiliser, but still problem is not solved.

I have brought a Indigo XL Classic Dicor about 3 months back. The car has done above 4000 Kms and found it be a very comfortable car (suspension smooth, I have gone for a long run from Pune to Kolhapur and back I got a mileage of 15+ km to a litre which is really a good mileagefor a car of this size. In the city I get a cool 12.5-13.5 kms a litre depending on traffic condition. Compare to my last Indigo Diesel I find the DICOR engine to be responsive and peppy. This buy is a value for money.

Do you have any idea whether we can use alternate fuels (e.g.Bio diesel) with these DICOR engines of TATA? How long you have been using the car and what is your say about the reliability of the car? Prasanna (Hyderabad)

What is the mileage that you are getting on this vehicle? I have seen the car at a Tata showroom and am absolutely hooked over it, but the only hitch is that I have not seen this car being used too much, which is a surprise given its features and a very competitive cost.
