Not mature yet and I would wait may be another 5 years before thinking of buying this car

Pros : Good view of the road, good power, AC is good and good mileage
Cons : Interior needs a lot of improvement, very very bad parts and poor design

My experience has not been that good with this vehicle. Very very bad reliability. Had to change steering column and starter motor @ 12K, entire clutch assembly @ 30K and have already replaced the windshield washer motor 3 times.

Only reason this vehicle is selling because there is no other option at this category thanks to the government policy of 110% duty. It is a cheaply designed not so reliable car. Look at the rear passenger door. They don't even close flush with the body. How long is that going to take. I drove thru' a new road and all the tar got into the grove and cleaning was a headache.

Tavera may be a better option.

    Have 2 Scorpios, one has already done 1.8 Lacs km and other has clocked around 20k. The former has not demanded any major overhalls till now. The only job done is clutch overhall, injector cleaning and tyre change (at 1.10 lac km). The later is also running flawlessly till date. Extremely satisfied with the vehicle. Though reliability has been an issue with Safari which my most friends have.

    Yes, may be Krishnamurthy Viswanathan got bad with his luck; especially when everyone on the column talking about this vehicle, this sounds like exception.
