Dude! Do you even know what you are talking about? I drive a VTEC and it is just awesome. Yes, the parts are expensive but the build quality is so fine that you won't be going to the workshop anytime soon. Any more powerful it would begin to fly! And please don't compare it to a Mahindra or Tata. It is indeed better than even higher segment cars like Optra and Elantra.
Dude! Most of the cars start vibrating if pushed over their limit.The vtec comes with a 1.5l engine of top speed of 140(as company says)and i think its quit good for a car of that segment when considered the overall package.
well Kiran Kamath sir,you can compare city(any version) with elantra but certainly you don't know anything about optra magnum.if not comparing the diesel engine,optra is more luxurious than even civic.And ofcourse ,better to handle and faster than even octavia.optra is class apart and city definitely doesn't deserve to be compared with optra
yah but the sales speak Aaakash...how many Optra's do u see ??..its been a flop......Look at the HOnda City's !!!........ ultimately its the sales figure which counts !!!
ya VTEC is awesome....cool...just a touch expensive but its worth it. whenever i go out i c atleast a minimum of 10 city vtec's. optra is no where near city.
People who dont have a taste or sense of cars will call the Honda CITY a FRGO. I have the car for the past 3 years have done over 33000 kms. No spares or parts change till now. still gives an average of 14+ in the city with 50% AC usage. I have gone upto 180km/hr on my city it vibrates a little at that speed : ). I think it should otherwise it wouldn't have been a car. City Rocks....
Judging a car by its sales figures will be a sin as we Indians are known for heard mentality & hence Honda have become a winner of a rat race. I agree with Akash, no doubt Optra is class apart in terms of comfort & driving pleasure.Honda City is gud, but nowhere near to Optra.Going by some of urs argument Fiat car is the best as you gonna see upteen of them in Mumbai!!!

Honda city Vtec is good. Sales figures says a lot. People WOULD NOT BUY it if the quality is bad.Why waste money for a crappy car anyway? If the people buys it.. then it is of good quality. Honda wouldnt be the CAR OF THE YEAR if its CRAPPY. Think about it!
sukhamrit i hav been upto 130 in my city zx and doesnt vibrate at all..bt there is a quite a bit of engine noise..which is nt reli tht much of an issue and sukhamrit i dnt thnk u own a city cos ur review is totally false and misleading..u probably drive a tata indica or a mahindra bolero..and u should buy the nano when it comes becos it totally suits ur personality
i am City ZX GXI limited edition owner i completely agree with joey and it is valid comment how can a car that looks different become a hit if the quality is bad would 180000 people buy honda city zx in five years. the earlier honda clocked more than 60000 in the period 98to 2003 i have gone at 140 kmphour in the highway it has not given me shivers it is stable. it has got superb handling and the fuel efficiency is between 14 and 15 on an average and on good long rider it come 16 plus
