   Excellent technology... this car seldom lets you down...I have got a diesel... superb mileage nd comfort... german technology is the best...

   recently i bought 1.6 Astra 2002, i have purchased for 1.85 Lks, the car is fually loaded and i found engine smooth and good AC, request you all feedback on the same.

   I just bought 1997 secound hand Astra. I got a real bargain and I am enjoying this car a lot. Can anybody advice me where to find Astra manual? What is the green switch at bottom steering wheel? What is that for? Please Advice.

   Hello !
   
   I purchased Opel Astra 1.6 Petrol around 3 yrs back, using it and maintaning it properly its very low on maintenance. We are doing general maintenance at my Friend's Garage and Major Maintenance at GM Dealer (Hardly requires any n Trust me its same or even Cheaper than road side garages)
   
   Car is very comfortable and safe on road, build quality is excellent. Getting good milage around 12 in city, and around 14 + on highways.
   
   My future car will be from GM only.

    i own astra-club diesel--black (fully loaded...its givin 19km/lit on higways n glides like a falcon..nobody beats German techs...fantastic car...

    i own a 1997 model astra 1.6. Lots of trouble with maintenance although all work is done at GM service center. AC causing major problems. Got it fixed, but now it works intermittently. Morning and evenings it works. Afternoon when its hot, the compressor swithces off. Also, sometimes compressor switches on and off every 2 seconds while working. I dont trust Apex Auto service center anymore. Any suggestions of a reliable place where I can get the car fixed?

    TO locate the chasis no. plz look to the right of the drivers's seat between the door and the seat there is a gap, lift the mat cover and below it U can find the chassis no.

    Guys i am getting a third hand '97 opel astra1.6 petrol, mumbai registered , for 1.1Lac the dealer promises a 6 month engine and gear box warranty , few free services and has done 62k on the odometer.He promises the insurance as well
    
    Worth the deal or should i negotiate ? the car looks great from inside and while driving , but i feel i can chop off few bucks after reading the deals u guys have got

    Hi Guys does any one has a User Mnaual of Opel Astra petrol 1.6. I own one of 98 Model.
    
    Also can someone advice after a service and engine oil change it consumes lot of petrol merely gives 5kmpl. Should I wait another 1000km to be completed after a full service...Pls reach me on psquarek@gmail.com
