Nothing modern about it.. should've discontinued long time back.. it carried on for the only reason that no other standard automakers were around that time.. nothing but a rusting junk on wheels.. Premier Automobiles got what they deserved, that they got bankrupt.. for all this while thay were trying to fool us indian with the same old technology from the sixties.. with no research & development, no safety & reliability... and taking the customers for granted..

The FIAT padmini has stood the test of times in safety and India ran on this when no car was around. The above comments are full of negativity which make no sense at all.

i still rememer my dad spending a hell a lot of money to just start it and keep it running..... one of his better decision was to sell it....thank god! he sold it... else we would have been on the streets trying to maintain it... our family prospored after he sold it

People who dont like Premier Padmini car - can get their asses fucked by a muel or a donkey. If not, at least by their own dad.
People who dont like such a car - will definetely try to fuck their own moms you know........ !
Basterds, Country Broutes etc.,. dont squeez your mom's breasts and dont try to lick her vegina.....

The above comment is full of rubbish. I am a prestigious own of Premier Padmini of 1974 model. I don’t think it’s a rusting junk on wheels. It’s a fabulous product of PAL. I am challenging those guys those who are supporting the above statements, by no means can they proof that it’s a rusting junk on wheels in terms of looks, speed, reliability, etc. Steel it has got the power to run at 140 KM/hr with avg. mileage 15/16 Kms/Ltrs.

This car was quite a status symbol of its time even among higher middle class. Things changes with the time so this car has gone behind the dark clouds. But i still miss my dad's old one which always made me pruod among friends. Things were slow those days, so the research was here in India. But whatever PAL brought on the road, people cheerfully accepted.

Last one and half year I am using this car, previously I have been used Ambassador car. I don't think maintenance is more. Basically each & every car should need to maintain, hope these cars are need less maintenance cost, because spares are less cost and no need to go company work shop but latest cars must go to company work shop. Basic repair will come for all vehicles. My car is 95 model diesel car, giving 15 kms/ltr,smooth running.
Elegant look, Good milage, low price, less maintenance. ravi

I want to purchase old Premier Padmini in the price range of about 40-65000. Should I invest. I was told that it gives about 20 Km/litre by a person using it. Please email me on ppshelke@gmail.com

In the days when this car was introduced... it was spelt as one of the best car.But when the days start to run it became older.I believe this is crude like the Amby....Once we travelled in Padmini from Trichy to Kolli hills with seven members on board. It climbed the hill road with ease and smooth. I like it very much as Amby.....

I dont think Padmini deserves to receive such harsh a review. I had a Padmini. Though I own a M-800 now, I still miss her! Its true!

We had this car for nearly 15yrs...I have driven this car and had no difficulties... it was easy to drive... it delivered a decent mileage of 12kmpl.. we had taken it for very long drives... it always prooved itself...Almost i hardly spent a lakh for the spares and service all these 15yrs... recently i replaced with the new fiat palio stile... FIAT is always for people who understand abt quality....
