I own a WagonR for the past 8 months, and these are the pros and cons that I have observed in my car in this period.
The things I like about my car.
1) Reclining seats - even the rear seats recline almost completely. So much so that you can make a bed out of the front and rear seats, very comfy if you have a loved one accompanying you on a long drive and wants to rest.
2) Dashboard - Some serious thinking from Maruti for the everyday car user here. Cubbyholes and holders all around, and hooks that can take your shopping bag! Loads of space there.
3) Driveabilty - "The car" if you live in a city with loads of traffic. Easily snakes thru traffic. Very comfortable to drive.
4) Space - Being a tall boy design, there is loads of space for the occupants. But the car is made for four people only (including the driver). so add one more person at the back, and you are looking for some joint and back pain if you plan to go outside the city.
Now the cons:
1) Side mirrors are a joke. They are more like shaving mirrors than rear view mirrors. I am currently evaluating options to replace them with sensible rear view mirrors.
2) Space for speakers - well, there isnt any. Finally mounted the rear speakers on the back door of the car, and there is no space at all for the 12" subwoofer that I was planning to install. Sad.
3) The build is a tad tinny. What with Maruti employing (probably) the same sheet metal for the WagonR as the 800...
Thanks for reading my review. HTH.

thats a fair comment on the waagon R
the rear seats are good for folding and carrying a lot of stuff
but then the comfort always remains an issue
    good review
    keep it up

I want to purchase it. But, Aare, I can't afford it. Likewise, I can see the milky icecream but I can't put it in the mouth.

I own a Wagon R for the past 3 years. Overall its a nice car with good performance. But I am litttle disappointed with the suspension and noise level. I have spent thousands to fix it, the servcie centers have literally chnaged the suspension in the front, worked on brakes and steering but still when the car negotiates rough roads, there is noise frm the front wheel section. Any help to fix this would be appreciated!

I own a passion red Vxi...and found it as per my needs...I am an individual who drives almost 2000Kms per month in Delhi and I am honest when I say I trust my car to take my family from one place to other....They matter most for me and you dont trust something inferior for your loved ones

I just bought a wagorn r vxi.Earlier i used to drive Santro Xing gls. While going above 110 km/hr I feel that the car will overturn if I overtake at this speed.I want to kow does this happens to everyone or it's just because of height of car. Please advise.

    @ Arun
This must be a illusion to you that your car is going to flip. This is probably coz at the back of your mind you feel that being a taller car the chances are more. However, modern cars are well engineered and they just do not flip on simple overtaking. So relax and enjoy. This is the case with all brands & all cars :)

Yes Wagon R is definately one best product from Maruti Suzuki, I have owned Dec 2006 VXI Euro - III model, drived for almost 10 K without any extra cost, except fuel & ofcourse with good milage, I think my next car will be also a new Wagon R.

    Dear Sir,
Thanks for your comments on WagonR.I am planning for it and have a test drive of Vxi.Can you show me the followings:
1.Have you felt bumpy drive at rear when speed more then 50
2.Have you feel AC is in good condition compare to other car like Alto,Santro,i10
3.Maintenance wise if compare with others, spark gives 3 year maint.free service.
4.Sapace at rear seat and leg space is not sufficient for 3 people.
5.Interior is not impressive only black plastic.

In overall Wagon-R is a best car in the present portfolio.I have a Wagon-R since 2001. I feel it is a true family car.The only disadvantage of the car is that back door windows mirrors are not completly fold in absence of cut glasses. All other things are 100% favourable.
