It's very smooth vehicle. Freinds , collegues who ever have test driven my vehicle liked it in general. It's very specious in side. Especially leg room for rear seat passenger is very good. Cabin is very silent , no vibrations. It's suspensions are very impressive hence no rattling sound of body parts / fiber parts inside the cabin. You get comfort of a big car in this small car. As regards fuel economy all leading magazines have quoted 13-14 kmpl (mix city+high way). 12kmpl in city is good enough. I have test driven Swift,xeta,Getz also but moment I test drove UVA I finalised my CAR.

    No it's hatch back. Practically I get 12-13 kml with AC in city trafic like Pune. On High ways I got 15 kmpl with AC

    IT'S TOO EARLY TO TALK ABOUT MAITENANCE COST. GENERAL MOTORS APREADY GIVING GURANTEES FOR LOW MAITENANCE COST ELSE THEY WILL PAY ANY AMOUNT ABOVE STANDARD MAITENANACE COST COMMITED BY THEM. IT'S NOT EVERY NOW AND THEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE OF ANY CAR.

    Harish, do nt bother whether it gives 12/13 mileage, go by ur heart whether u like palio/uva, read their test drives, g think logically & decide fr urself. both have their own + & -ve points, see on what points u r ready 2 compromise. I personally purchased gets prime 1.1 GVS

    I am surprised that everywhere on the Internet the reviews about Chevrolet Aveo U-VA are talk only about nice things. I suspect whether the dealer-manufacturer network has something to do with the positive reviews all over the Internet, though I cannot say anything conclusively. I am told by real U-Va owners that the car suffers from poor gear shifting, high maintenance cost. The driver seat is too low. Swift and Getz are far better in the category if you consider comparative price.

    I AM FROM PATNA.I PURCHASED MY UVA IN MARCH 2007. REGARDING THE FUEL EFFICIENCY I HAVE TESTED MY CAR ON CITY DRIVE AND LONG DRIVE SEPERATELY. BUT I COULD NOT SATISFIED WITH FUEL CONSUMPTION RATE, WHICH IS 8.5KM/LTR IN CITY AND 12-14KM/LTR ON NH DRIVE UNDER STANDERED CONDITION ON NH. I HAVE COMPLAINED AT SERVICE CENTRE EVERY TIME, BUT I COUT NOT FIND ANY IMPROVEMENT.

    This is the first time I heard such low mileage report of U-va. Generally it gives 12-13 kmpl in city and 14-15kmpl on highways.

    Mileage depends on Driving habits n driving conditions but 8.5 kmpl from U-va.... No Way man...not a single time I heard such mileage from any users mouth.

    Should I go for the 1.2 Base and add on the power windows and the central locking (Total 15000 extra). The 1.2LS costs 50000 more and I wonder if it is worth it - I'm on a tight budget
