hi,
well ! for such a tiny-car(smaller then spark)very poor mileage plus too expensive. also, so called 80PS at 6200+rpm ,which is impossible in normal used. to reach 6200+rpm t'meter may cross red-line which is bad. 80ps is just on paper. For Indian! Comfort , Mileage & Service is must.
those who were eyeing at i10 must go for maruti swife, splash or xink-1.1lt. basically-actually,hyundai car=v.poor mileage

Excuse me Mr Deepak..I am quite sure you dont own an i10 for you to be so against the i10..I own an i10 Magna..It is arguably one of the best hatchbacks in the country..much much better interiors than a swift..better mileage(i get 14-15kmpl with AC in Delhi traffic) and a butter smooth ride..Agreed a swift is much more zippy but when u consider other features that u get for the price(a full 50G cheaper than the swift) i dont think its a tough decision to go in for an i10 ahead of a swift..

mr. anil who told you that this car is smaller that spark, lenth wise and width wise it is bigger than santro and hight is equal to santro. at least 20 advanced features this car is having as compared to wagon R and Santro. but the cost for ERA model is 389000 only. please check you information once again........

    Hi friends,
I think there is no other car available in market than i10 having such a great ovrall dimensions except old maruti zen in this segment.Boot & luggage space is bigger than zen estilo, vagon R,Spark.Smooth driving, awesome interiors & features.I think it would be a right decision of choosing i10 magna 1.2.

    Hi Friends
my feeling after maintaining i10 for 1 month is there is no that much differnece b/w santro and i10,comparing with santro the interior is looking good but to feel it is very bad,i mean sitting comfort, head rest and what is in the interior that much nice i did't feel that much good, more over in sportz model each and every thing is fitted from company like central lock, steerio and others but while using these u can find so much worst functionality how the people design and charge.

    Hi
I am sure Mr Dipak & Mr Anil77 you dont own this beauty. As I have a Magna which is really lovely. Any other small car in its class does not have better features then the i10. I am done with the 2nd service with 3500 KM done and the car does 14-15Km in the city (Mumbai suburban traffic 60%). This one is my 3rd car and my previous two cars did not even give half the pleasure this one gives while driving. Would advise you and everyone to own an i10 & gurantee wont regret.

  8. on 05 Nov, 2008 at 01:33 PM Rahuk (New Delhi)

who the hell is telling i10 is a bad tell the person u dont know the knowledge of cars tum sirf ghatiya cars hi lena maruti walo ki with dull plastic black interiors steel bas maruti ki naam chalta hai aur chote cities mein unki gaddiyan zyada bikti hai is wajah se maruti suzuki ki company chal rhi dam hai tho is time santro aur i10 ki sales ko down kar ke dikhaye apne dabba wagon r aur zen estilo

I completly aggree with you Praveen. Mr Anil would never have driven an i10. A hopeless and biased review. I suppose Mr Anil must be working for a competitor and using this channel to falsely create a negative impresson about the car.

I own a i10 magna 1.1L and i love this i10, its a great, i enjoy a lot driving this car, as everybody said Mr Anil would have never used this car.

i10 1.2 is a great car with respect to space, comfort, power/performance. Have a Sportz model which has given me only the greatest pleasure both for the performance and the looks. New car so not able to comment on milage. Will know more once the service is done.

I am an automobile engineer with reasonable skills in this field. recently test drive i10-sportz and a-star zxi. honestly i10-sportz surpass a-star distinctly in terms of smooth ride & better comfort, beautiful space management, very responsive accelerator, air conditioning effectiveness in terms of grill temperature, very low engine noise levels even at high speeds and during acceleration in overtaking, nice interiors. A-star plus points are better exteriors and large dash board with music sy

  23. on 02 Mar, 2009 at 12:28 PM Sandeep Singh (Noida)

...music system, and better fuel economy due to smaller engine. Also I feel A-star is much more balanced on highways due to being bulkier. However I feel 1000 cc engine is not sufficient to take up car and ac load simultaneouly. a-star 996cc engine with ac is weaker than maruti-800cc w/o ac in terms of pick up and engine noise....wonder why itz so, considering 100-125 cc dedicated for ac...maruti should seriously consider this immediately plus engine sound is also one area for them. I feel....

  24. on 02 Mar, 2009 at 12:34 PM Sandeep Singh (Noida)

...on price part hyundai should seriously consider reduction of 20-25K to provide value for money to its customers. i-10 is rocking in its segment, no doubt, and is here to stay for long. However I would advise one should wait since 2009 shall be flooding whole lot of new models from almost all players.

  25. on 02 Mar, 2009 at 01:25 PM Sandeep Singh (Noida)

Read this before decision making :

"The government on Wednesday notified the new emission norms — Bharat Stage IV or BS-IV — which will come into effect in April 2010. But
it will require huge investments to upgrade the technology of popular cars like Maruti 800, the country’s largest selling car Maruti Alto, and Hindustan Motor’s Ambassador among others, to be able to meet the new emission standards."

Not sure if it make any sense to reply to Anil and Deepak's absurd comments after all above replies. But my love for this beauty will not be justified if I don't.
I own the Kappa engine version for last 6 months. Drove in Bangalore city and long distance (600 kms in a stretch). And let me tell you, it is the best for city(especially in Bangalore, you can do the auto rickshaw driving using this car in Blr traffic. Blrians know what I am talking abt!!) and good for long drive as well.

buy only advance 16valve engine like pc P4 advance than Pii processos . maruti zen/wagon-r has 16valve (4valves per cylender) even spark/i10 n all have old 8/12valves per cylender. benchmark-honda city.vtec has 16valve. more over at 2010 only 16valve engine fit to run like cityZX has 8valves discontinued. don;t buy spark/uva/xink/i10/logan/city.zx/old maruti.800/old gets/maruti dzire petrol/omni/any skoda/xeta/marina etc

    bye & g luck.

    Mr Mq1

You look like a confused scientist to me. Rather then giving your review you are bent on forcing people to not buy i10. You look like a brand ambassador of Maruti. stop filling this space with your crap. I know you have not driven the beaty i10 at all. You dont deserve to anyways. Drive your stupid marutis and be happy. But dont misguide or force anyone against the i10.

  37. on 21 Jun, 2009 at 01:44 PM Emperor.Amit

only reason everyone here says i10's not good is either they don't owe one or they don't have driven one might be that they don't know to drive one. its a dream machine in its segment.smooth, stable, Best build and feels like a sedan when u r in . it feels great that i took the right decision.

Actually,if money/money is not a problem for U than only you can think of a hyundai product. owning the car is very expensive (e.g-low mileage, high cost of maintenance, high ex-showroom cost), not just in India but globally.though their technology is so-so(not so high) but
santro, you feels good to drive.(accent-is-hype and i10era much-hyped like u-va N spark). moreover its your observation & interest. since its your money.
    go for maruti.............a-star/swift/sx4

well...guys...let me make things so simple...i10 is the worst car i have ever come across.i work for BMW,Munchen,Germany & i recently bought an i10 Magna(chennai) costing more than what it has in itself(am not comparing it with BMW or even with swift).i list down the demerits of this car
i)very poor mileage 8 kmpl (a/c On city drive)
ii)torque is very less with 3 & abover passengers
iii)interior legroom not sufficient in rear
    iv)boot space is very less
v)braking isnt efficient at high spee

    Hi Every One,
I just took a test drive of i10 1.2 Magna. I already own a Honda City and wanted this as my second Car for my family. i10 is a very good car for self drive. If one sits at the back seat then its very uncomfortable. the size of the seat, there is no headrest at the back which is a very silly thing Hyndai has done. Even the Santro has a head support at the back. Pls some one suggest Hyndai that a small head support or rest at the back is a must. Other wise it is a Good Car.

i bought i-10 magna 1.2 a month back.........nd right nw itzz givin me mileage of 19km/l on highway drivin nd in city 17km/l nd u say it bad mileage...??? nd itzz d most poweful in itzzz segment.....i love dizzz car nd all worth for money

  49. on 26 Jul, 2009 at 08:56 PM Ajay Verma (New Delhi)

No issues about the performance of the car,the mileage, the interiors, all are fabulous... but the pricing is at the higher side somewhat,Should have been at least 30K less. Also as Mr.Ghosh pointed out the head rest prob..

  50. on 30 Jul, 2009 at 02:54 PM Manoj

Car looks good.. but back seat.. that proturding cup holder makes worse. middle person (in case of 3 in back seat) have to keep his / her on the bump like a monkey... this si true. Do counter argue with right justification

  51. on 30 Jul, 2009 at 09:17 PM Palash

@ Manoj I agree with you. But these small cars are not meant to take 3 persons comfortably in the rear seat. You get in any Maruti car and this bump will be more evident to you. Yes I am not joking.

    hi 2all i10user,

goood. buy more, one for every family member. it has no resale value. i10era has euro2 we need euro3. very old engine like maruti800 & omni.

generally everyone is confused about monthly running nowdays it doesn't matter with newtech. what you like thats matter. buy new advance car only. avoid new body with old engine of any make cityzx/i10e/logan/spark/vista-petrol etc

    instead, buy swift-diesel only/new punto-p/d both/vista-1.3 diesel only.

Hynundai i10 is nothing when comapared to its counterpart Maruthi Ritz in terms of money value or power. The biggest drwaback of i10 is that it doesnt provide enough space of one sitting in the back seat. No leg room at all. So i have decided to buy a Ritz VXi which gives enuf leg room and much more powerful than i10 sportz version and alo 10k lesser. Think wisely guyz!!!

Guys pls come up with some good suggestions, pls dont vent your personal ego in this forum. that is of no use for the participants.now tell me which is the better car in the hatch back segment.

    RITZ?
    swift?
    Spark?
    i10?
    Estilo?
    consider cost for performance ratio!

  72. on 16 Nov, 2009 at 02:28 AM Thanapal

The car as such is extremely good looking. No extra flab and driving it ts a real peasure. As for the mileage it hardy gives 10 km/l.(ofcourse with AC on always.Mind you I live in chennai ,the sity is notable for its unruly traffic. You put on the AC and switch on the SONY music system and lo you can forget your woes.Forget the low fuel efficiency, every car company romises as if they have a car which consumes NO petrol at all.A sales talk is a sales talk and nothing in especially in INDIA.
