Hey hi people, Obed M here from Kenya. I made a good choice if you still ask me why i have this CIELO. I bought a spacious, comfy, stable classic metallic green Cielo car in 2006 after eying it for a very long time.
CIELOs were first introduced to Kenya, then immeditely the presidential escort took a huge fleet of them. Why? Great speed and Comfort.
Ok. When i bought this 1997 model (believe it or not) it had a mileage of 54,000km. That means this Korean car had a good engine, clean, and with a superb general performance. So far i have travelled alot with it cruising all over the place and its mileage todate is 114297km and am not thinking of letting go.
The secret my friend, you may have the best car in the whole world, but if you never service it you gonna have the high hell with it. Get a nice straight forward mechanic who understands your cielo, and i mean properly. Replace old parts with genuine Daewoo cielo parts and at its due time.
With this in mind, this 12year old car cruises so well and comfortably such that most new cars in the market cant handle the same speed with comfort with such a small engine of a cielo. If you have mastered the ABS then you can cut corners with ease, believe it i know.
One more thing, never ever share your CIELO with anyone, and you dont have to, because at the end of the day its your salary on the Daewoo. I dont share. If you ask me German-cum-Korea technology is damn expensive, but it can be worth it if you are servicing your own faults.
If there will be new models of DAEWOO Cielo in the near future, i will invest in buying one again. At the moment i enjoy driving my Daewoo CIELO. Its worth it!
