Purchased the Aveo-UVA LS (Rein forest Green) on 31.03.08 and very much satisfied with my car performance as It gives a comfort, smooth & quite (noiseless) drive.

Cabin: Quiet, Spacious, Roomy and Airy with Good Leg room & superb suspension.   Big car -from inside. Three persons sit comfortably at rear seat.

Performance: Very much stable on the highway (plain as well as in hill area). Firm grip & Flat --- just touching the ground. AC is also effective.

Fuel Economy: City-- 14 km in Mohali with AC at 40-50km/hr. (Highly crowdy, Narrow roads and Huge nos. of traffic lights)

Highway—17 km at 70-80 km/hour with AC & 15 km at 50-60 km/hour with AC (Hill area).

Contacted with the dealer he assured that after second service there will be further improvement in fuel economy.

Slight low power and when you are driving on hills having narrow road, numerous turns, hot & humid outside and above all the AC is ON then you face some problems (My Experience) other wise its NICE & GOOD car.

    Hi Sanjeev,

    Hi Anurag,
Its nice to see your message. First decide what actually you want? Space, comfort, power etc.
If you are looking for power then SWIFT has more power than UVA. Space comfort noiseless engine and driving pleasure, you will get in UVA. Main thing is Budget also. I am happy with with UVA, small car having feeling of big car. These days you can also check FORD IKON Price 4.5 lac. Big car powerful engine. Still need advice feel free to contact me.

    Hi guys,
I m going to buy my first car next month and I m very much confused between U-VA and swift.Sanjeev has already given good review for U-Va that continue keep me for U-VA. What my desires for my first car are:budget-max 4.5,High priorities-looks(exterior&interior)&comfort in driving.About mileage,i think both(swift & u-va) have almost similar,so hardly matter. Now, m also thinking about i10 as it have good interior and low price.Resale value not matter but good maintence.Plz suggest me

    Hi Dinesh,
You can check Magna 1.2 with Kappa 1200cc engine slight more than UVA but you have to compromise with the space as there is differene of 100mm in wheelbase. Both are nice car.Interior--OK in both cars & Exterior--I like the UVA.Test drive both cars before buying. All the best.

Great review and feedback Sanjeev. I'm trying to decide between the i10 kappa magna and the UVA LS. The Chevy dealer is a friend and will offer discounts. My priorities are easy maintenace and space. Should I go for the U-VA even though its a little more expensive?

    Hi Benjamin,
Thanx for the compiment. Both are nice car. Test drive them. Seeing your priorties I will suggest UVA-LS. Pricewise there is hardly difference. All the best.

Can you clarify about the cashless ownership offer. Do you pay an extra amount at the beginning for this 3 years maintenance

  9. on 19 Aug, 2008 at 11:01 PM Benjamin (Mumbai)

Should I go for the 1.2 Base and add on the power windows and the central locking (Total 15000 extra). The 1.2LS costs 50000 more and I wonder if it is worth it - I'm on a tight budget

  10. on 25 Aug, 2008 at 11:51 AM Sanjeev Sharma (Chandigarh)

    Hi Benjamin,
Sorry for the delay. These days scheme is there 1year free insurance and 3 years cashless service saving of Rs.35000-40000. Regarding budget yes you can opt for base model adding power window and central locking. All the very best.

    Hi Sanjeev,
After reading lots and lots of reviews on all cars, test driving them (my height is 6.1 so i have to check the space), I have finalised on buying U-VA.
Just wanted one suggestion from you. Should I go for top end model or base model and add accessories to it?
    Pls advise.
    Thanks,
    Swapnil

    Hi Swapnil,
Don't go for UVA LT (Top end model) but you can check LS model and moreover purchasing base model and adding accessories to it is not a bad idea but how it works later on that I don't know, any problem in future regaring controls etc. Just check your budget and move ahead. Thanks

    Dear Sanjeev
My family is thinking about the LT - but your last comment on this webpage makes me ask you why not to go for the LT - Please advise. Also we were thinking about the i10 but in terms of space, comfort, looks and price the LT fits in better with our choice, but the question in our minds is about performance - a bit sceptical that it should not underperform as compared to the swift or getz or i10. We will be using the car in b'lore city.

The best option is to Buy the LT, without accessories, add the rear spoiler/ fog lamp/ roof rails/ and other accessories not from the showroom, but from the nearest cas acessories shop. ( you will save 50-60% %) No problem with the controls later on. That is what I am doing and getting My UVA this Dhanteras. No car will give you more space and better milage. The latest newspaper ad of 16 oct claims a milage of 20 KMPL. I wonder is that true? and how can anyone comment.
