I recently test drove Dzire diesel . The car appears to be Swift + SX4 boot. The rear seating  fits 2+1 child adults only. Maruti is charging 1 lac over the swift, for Dzire, mind you that's only for the boot space.

I drove @ 100km/hr, Dzire lacks of road grip and the suspensions are not that great. At times I felt that at high speed the car lacks of control and grip over the road. I found the steering wheel positoned really low.

The top variant is over priced. It would be gr8 if there were a affordable differnece between the Vdi and the Zdi version.

Overall, unimpressive. My suggestion folks, pls. dont get carried away by Dzire coz of swift. Logan can be a better option.

surely your comments are real wrt price difference betn ldi and zdi, but logan is too big a car (wiiiiiiiide body) for city roads. All the future taxis are going to be logans only. Unless you have a big family to fit in dzire still scores over logan.

    Dear Jj,
Please check your numbers...Maruti is not charging 1 lac more Dzire over Swift.

only yesterday a driver who drove swift dezire ldi 300km confirmed on his own, car sways after 100 kmph difficult to control at high speeds

i have already booked the dezire, after a lot of surveys. found logan interiors cheap, & also thought that maruti is more relaible.not sure if this is my biggest mistake or ?

I zeroed in on Dezire but after reading the reviews by Jj and Vineet I am inclined to reconsider other options since road safety is paramount. Look for Manufacturer's response to this serious problem.

    Dear Jayant and gaurang,
I have already bought a Dzire. And have driven it 800 km till now. I went for a highway drive as well and drove at the speed of 100 km. Didn't find any of these problems. The car grips the road well. The ride is very smooth. So don't let others dissuade you from your decision of buying a dzire.

    JJ,
I agree that the d'zire comes with cycle tyres change them to Goodyear Eagle F1 195/70/R13. After that it just hugs the road.its high speed rating is 240kmph.
The rating 4 wet conditions is 10/10 and 9/10 for dry conditions.
For 7 lacs with all the safety features like ABS,EBD & airbags(both sides),NO other car offers that not even the civic which costs 13lacs.

7lacs = All safety features + latest CRDI engine + 22kmpl + very low maint + wide service network + good resale value. BUY

dissapointing car. not a replacement for the esteem, marutis old warhorse. the car is yuppy and will lacks road handling, too many value adds that dont mean much as the car does not have any intrinsic strengths. the tyres are appaling and suzuki needs to spend more money.i recoomend that new buyers wait for new launches.

Likes and dislikes in terms of looks are a matter of personal choice. Contrary to your views, I feel DZire looks cool and stylish. Especially the rear end. Its high rear end is inspired by the famous chris bangles design.

Go for DZire. The comments posted here are not a true reflection of the car. Go for DZire test drive and you will know that all this is wrong. It is a car with great power, runs smooth, no problem at high speed.

Go for Logan if u want better Drive quality, Space and fule economy with Good acceptable Driving pleasure. Logan is more economical then Dzire. Logan a Sedan by birth & not a convert. Dzire (powered with Fiat engine, a bought out engine from other company a Risk area in future)if you can compromise on cabin space, drive quality. Dzire is notch better on Driving pleasure because of Fiat Engine. However, People are giving credi to Maruti....But as family car.Logan is winner
    Dzire is a convert.

Dzire--Above 80 km/hr, I had an uncomfortable feeling in my ears--as it happens in planes sometimes. I have driven upto 100 km/hr in maruti 800, but never felt such a thing. Does any one have the same experience?
