A very close friend of mine was one of the first people to book the Swift DZire ZDi in Delhi. His car was delivered today morning. I went with him to take the delivery. He asked me to drive, because he was calling his friends and relatives to inform.


 


My first reaction was – awesome car. It looks good in flesh. I mean much better than Logan and indigo. Ikon is still comparable. I liked the high rear as well. The interiors were beige and black. The rear seats are better than the Swift, in terms of comfort and legroom. Climate control and steering mounted audio controls are good additions. Would attract many feature lovers.


 


 


The boot has been integrated well. The drive was smooth, even better than the Swift hatchback. The turbo kick and the engine refinement are the highlights of maruti DZire. The gear ratios are perfect and it has a good turning radius. Brakes are powerful. Minimal engine noise. In fact I did not feel that I am driving a diesel car.


 


I have recently bought a Honda city. Now I feel that I have unnecessarily spent so much. I could have bought a Dzire instead.

    Lucky ZDi owner. I guess, MSIL have released not more than 10 odd ZDis across the country for delivery over last one month after the launch.

    Though the DZire is launched one and half month back, Maruti is not giving the delivery of the petrol version.I have booked my DZire on 1st April and the dealer has no idea when dealer will get the car and the waiting time is increasing exponentially.
    Does any body has any idea where can I complaint and how to expedite the delivery of my DZire.

    For petrol the mileage is around 14-15 and diesel - close to 20.

    Ask your dealer to give you an exact status. I believe maruti dealers are already doing that in case of dzire.

    i m also facing same problem, i hv also booked dzire petrol at modern automobiles ambala. during time of booking dealer said tht booking is only for 15 days, till nw i hvnt got d car, its goin 2 b 3 mnths, i m goin to take my money bk & goin 4 accent, as accent has gud milage & satus, i m nt getting any +ve response 4 dealer

    i booked VXI Dzire from Lucknow on 29th march. got delivery on 22nd May. Awsome card. drove 1000 K.M. Got serviced. no problems atall. good gear ratio, good turning radius, awsome in-built speakers. Good fog light and extraordinary cabin-light. you feel you are in an aeroplane.

    Be a little patient. DZire is a better car than accent. Now that you have already waited for 3 months. Why not finally reap the fruits of patience. You will love the car - ican assure you.

    I want to buy Swift Dzire ZDi version but I am told that the average is not good and it is just 11-12. Those who are using it please let me know the reality. What is average of the car in Diesel version of Dzire.

    The fuel efficiency of a car goes up after 1000-1500 kms. During initial phase it is bound to be less. For diesel it will go up to 18-20 after first service. The figure you have given here seems to be wrong. Because diesel version will not give less than 14 even in initial phase.

    same here, there is no proper responsefrom the dealer, have book on 31st march still now I have not received the car. It is like a army guy waiting to his native.

    Man these Maruti dealers r really pathetic..booked my DZire VDi on 9th of April. Promised delivery within 2-3 months. N now they say another 2. Maybe add 1-2 more(who knows!) n u get a car like u get a baby.
    What more,a friend of mine just got one within 5 days of booking for a premium of INR 30000!
    Disappointing these dealers keep normal booking customers in dark.

    Maybe d DZire meant for me is being used by someone more intelligent(who found it better to pay the premium than wait!)
    What more,when i told about my eagerness to pay half of d premium(i already waited for 2-1/2 months!) premium from my dealer,he completely ignored,saying they dont accept premium,n that they're committed to givin us cars in time,but MSIL isnt sending enough cars...
    So they make hay while DZire shines..n we're left waiting.
    crap! :(
