Pros : very good looking, fuel economy 16-18 in city, 20- 23 on high way, smooth engine, better road grip
Cons : very less service centres compared to maruti

fantastic car, easy to drive , great mileage, improved internal plasctics, I am getting upto 16-18 km in the city and 21-23 on high ways. I am owining xk non ac model. recently brought. Hassle free vehicle. great luxury in small car. If you fit Philiphs Xtreme bulbs(available in UK market) it will give very good lighting . there is no need of going for higher watagge bulbs

    After reading veerraju review, people should go for Santro. It is giving more average than Alto and Maruti 800.

    I request u to guys kindly let me know that how to get such a good average. I am having 2006 April Santro XO clock 8000 Kms but getting the average of 10-11 kmpl in city & 14-15 on highway I drove with AC on 60% of time. Traffic in lucknow is also crowded on most of the routes. Pls advice.

    Dear Mr.nimit, since you are driving in crowded city area , regular air filter cleaning,throttle body cleaning by using carburattor and fuel injection cleaner,clutch adjustment and 37 kg/sqcm2 tyre pressure(for optimum mileage) , wheel balancing and wheel alignment will help you to acheive very good mileage.

    The tire pressure should be in psi rather than kg/cm2. The 37 is little on higher side, it will result in harsh ride, uneven tire wear and reduced footprint can cause reduced traction.

    Hi, I am planing to buy a new car but very connfused ,should i go with Santro or Alto LXI ,
    My budget is 3 to 3.5L , maximum distance i have to covered with the car is 165KM which is 2 times in a month ,rest 15 days i have to travel around 50 - 80 km/ average / day a.is there any risk if i drive the alto 165 km not a very busy highway like mumbai ?,
    i am single & most of time i will drive alone
    Economical wise i am preparing myself for Alto LXI ,please advise

    Hello, Econimi wise you may get 2-3Km more with Alto. but the space, engine quiality ,life of ERLX of hyundai is far superior than Alto's engine.Santro is virtually Maintainance free if it is maintained properly.

    please also clear what is the diffrence between Santro Xing GL & I10 , i need a car with AC & power steering is I10 expensive then Santro?
    How santro has a edge over I10

    Even though the engine of I10 and Santro is same,producing almost same BHP,but it is having iRDE(intelligent Responsive Drive Engine), which is more refined ,smooth ,compare to Santro, having spacious bucket seats, tiltable steering ,short gear stick convinient to use, compact motor driven power steering. good A/C effect compare to santro. If you are to ready to spendfew bucks more for number of KM'S driven , i10 is very good choice compare to santro.it comes with electronic tripmeter,tachomete

    How do you drive this car ... on foot, cause mine averages 7-8. And what r u talikng abt bulbs and lightining .i need an avergae booster. And some aero dynamics as well.It skids on braking a little hard, very unstable at high speeds, and the body is sensitive, runs ok but needs a lot maintenance.AC's not effective and its to boring to drive.I am an aggressive driver i need a car to match the same. I love the spark, but i need Suzuki ZEN back in production, cause nothing else facinates me.

    Always I prefer to drive on foot.Osram+50%60/55orphilips xtreme60/55wgives good lighting.clean brake shoes regularly to avoid skiding.santro driving is addicting,you won't find joy with suzukizen or spark.zen is highly unstable at higherspeeds,be careful,spark engine performance no match to santro.consider,i10,verna or swift for better performance. more lighting go for xenon Hi/Lo bulbs cost min Rs.8000/-pair.

    I have a santro of Sep'07 and never got milage of 15 kmpl, even at Bangalore-Mysore highway. tyre pressure maintained at 30 psi, as suggested by hyundai. Speed avarage 100 kmph. suggest me how to get 20 kmpl

    pl.ask for 23k to 25k total discount.u can purchase items like mats,bumperpainting,dvdplayer ,seatcovers,etc.at reasonable prices&goodquality items outside.fix only FMradio with speakers,install sunvisor dvd player 7"inch for entmt(will serve all the purpose). use meguair's polymer sealant#20,polish/month>goodresults>teflon.bumperpainting costs 2.5k max.

    U can use Tata indigo gls for good ride. compare to maruti alto Santro xing is always better,spacious,highly refined Erlx engine.better mileage can be expected.

    Try to ride Tata indigo Dls at 60-80Kmph,for better stability,saftey and engine life.At 100kmph vehicle stopping distance will increase,be aware of it.
