   Its been about a month after booking the vehicle.
   Though promised in 15 days, the dealers now say that the waiting period is anywhere from 3 to 8 months

   Maruti is playing with the delivary of the Dezire. I havent seen any manufacture introducing the new car without 3 moths inventory. soamny people have booked the cars and maruthi is not delivering. they are going to jack up the price and then they will start the delivary so that then can make more profits.

   Delivery period more than a month is unacceptable. Maruti Udyog must address the issue and jack up the production. People can not wait indefinitely however good the car may be.

    I agree but it doesn't mean that Maruti is not working on production. The demand is much higher than predicted earlier. Hopefully It'll be resolved soon. Maruti is sure thinking of it.

    For the initial 1000 kms the average will be close to 10-12 and then reach its optimum level of 14 - 15 km/ lt

    The fact that the mileage goes up after 1000 km/ first service is a fact for all cars. Not just for dzire. I haven't crossed 500 km yet so the mileage is just 11 km/lt.

    Go for DZire. It is better in all respects. Accent is an old model with proven fuel inefficiency.

    I booked Dzire vxi, white by paying 50000 to Modern Automobiles Ambala on 12.04.08, they promised to deliver in 15 days .Subsequently I deposited 3.75 lakhs more. till date i.e. 21.06.08.i m not given the car.on 16.06.08 the dealer called me to get delivery of car, but after some time he again called me that my car is yet to arrive. I afraid that my car is delivered to some one else with some premium.
    I have lost faith in your Ambala dealer. I advice you to not book your car through this deale

    The dealers are creating havoc with the delivery of Swift Dzire. If they are not sure about the delivery schedule, why don't they tell the customers the truth when accepting booking. Can't Maruti do something to thart the designs of the dealers trick diverting the car delivery for a premium?

    i have booked for a swift dzire vxi model on 26th june on the promise of the dealer popular vehicles and services that the delivery would be made with in 25 days and I am still waiting . I dint know whether to cvancel the booking and go in for a readily available car like Accent or Ford flair.

    is it true that maruti is stopping the production of swift dzire?One comment by Mr. Marshall says so. Can anyone enlighten me on this issue. I am about to go in for a swift dzire vxi petrol model .

    1) 1 DIN Nippon CD player with 2+2 Speakers.
    2) USB jack not available though AUX input available.
    3) Average milage after 1st service 11-12 within city and 14-15 on highway (avg speed 60-80 kmph)
    4) Production going to stop - I pray not, as I bought one recently,
    
    One piece of advise,
    
    Check / Re-check / Confirm the credibility of dealer you deal with.
    
    MARUTI needs to revisit dealer appointments & retain / recruit only customer - centric dealers with empathy for custome
