It has been 3months since i own my magnum it has been a wonderful experience to drive ..Smooth accelaration and never lacks of power ..though powerful yet can handle at eace in city roads of chennai ...and gives a milage of 14KMPL..space is too good rear confort is excellent conbined with silky smooth suspensions ..engine is noicy but inside the car is silent ...with 4 disc and backed with ABS dont you worry of stopping yours but then be careful none from behind bumps you ....Excellent boot space too to laod your baggages on a long vacation ..


Now it is great on looks from the front ..rear could hsve been better shaped ..Head Lamps will require uplift it not quite bright on highways ...dont you worry on a cost of rs 1200 you can fit in 100/90 W halogens ..


Acceralaration is smooth but it little tough to change gears ...gear shift is little hard ..A/c needs to be little powerful it does not chill the entire space ...for music lovers the indeck Alpine is not enough to give you that extra punch ...should have been better ...


Well rest the dash is superb interiors feels posh ..seats are awesome ..what more ..


 


Great car ..at an excellent price ..a true indian asking

    It gives me 13.5 on chennai city and i had just gone on a vaccation to Vellankanni it returned me on milage of 16 average

    I heard that the oil sump in the optra magnum is placed close to the bottom of the engine ) by design ) and is not covered by protection leading to damage on speed breakers . Have you faced and issue ? any other issues faced ? Thx

    Siddarth,

    i have not come across such an issue though i am driving in rough roads and with lot of speed breakers..other issue is head lights are not up to the mark and i have changed to HID kit now it is far better

    i am 100 % agree with yours reviews on magnum lt. i have also purchased the same three months back only & clocked 9000kms on it, but i am getting city milage 11.5. Do you feel jerking in the brake paddle on the bumpy road if you suddenly applies the brake. i am feeling this from the day one, but our city dealer APEX AUTO is not that much competent to understand the problem.

    Power is really great. one feel king when he accelrates the magnum diesel.

    i test drove the magnum LS.ride is very smooth. acceleration is mind-numbingly quick.never expected it from a diesel saloon.interiors r of high quality with decent fittings n trims. However,i felt the gear shift was quite stiff and the steering is heavy. also, its a little cumbersome for a tall person to get into the drivers seat due to the very low ground clearance and the head rest is very inadequate. the driving position is perfect, makes you feel very safe at high speeds.engine quite noisy.

    Anil,

    i agree with you this has been a problem ..you need to tell your dealer to tighten the brakes to the max ...and secondly all ABS fitted cars do have tis problem ..i had also written to chevy yet to receive their feedback one i receive it i will post it on this site
