Good machiene bad dealers

I am planning to buy a car of C+ segment. I have read many reviews pointing good towards Optra Magnum. I also took a test ride of  optra magnum. It was really a wonder machiene. The engine was responding to my feet. It was a wonder testride in city as well as on highway.


 Immidiately I finallised the vehicle and negotiated the price with dealer ( Dynamic Motors , Chandigarh). He offered me the discounts (in writing) if I buy the vechicle before 29th feb 08. But when I got my loan sanctioned and gave the down payment by 25th feb 08 the dealer refused to give me the discounts and just said that it was a miscommunication from there side and can not give the discounts. This was the time when I felt that I was strangled by the dealer and no one to listen me.


There were no customer care No's or e-mail ID's and no GM officials. Undoubtedly the machiene is too good but wat about the customer service , what would be the after sales service if before sales service is of that type. Suggestions from my side to GM is to increase the service standards of their dealers. Presently dealers of GM does not stand apart from dealers of their competitiors.

    Now I have purchased the car on 29th feb08 with a very good support from GM officials. I have driven just 400 km in 5 days. Believe once u run the car u would hate to stop as this is really a wonder machine. It has surpassed my expectations. My frinds have got skoda octavia and now they regrett their decision. I took the vehicle on Chd-Shimla where I drove it at 120Km / hr and the vehicle was effortlessly climbing the hight of Shimla at 5th gear. I hope to get the same performance now on ....

    Hi all, i am rubal and i am planning to buy the petrol version of optra magnum. Well ur suggestions are all welcome as i have to finalise the car by the end of this month. Kindly throw some lite on the performance of the petrol model especially on the fuel economy , after sales service and resale value of the car. Thanks.

    Hey frnds...Ali here...I was very excited in gttng my optra petrol...hd gven the dealer the booking advance...today I went to the showroom to get the loan formalities done and the sales executive told me that suddenly GM has increased the price of the vehicle by 9 grands...he told me that GM doesnt gve vehicle on temp registration...whn his price list clearly mentioned that vehicle on temporary registration will be charged 1000 rs extra...its high time now that GM starts giving good sales servi

    i have bought a optra magnum diesel but was again misguided as far as the finance part was concerned but over all the the communication was good and also the service....wud like to contact optra offficials.....how do i do it?

    i have bought a optra magnum LS just a couple of weeks ago i have driven about 700kms .Im satisfied in all aspects of the vehicle except the mileage which gives me an average of just 10km in city will it improve in the future as its a disel engine i expected a mileage of 15km in city is it possible ?
