I have a Honda City Gxi 2004 model and a maruti alto. Comparing both the companies I find that the paint quality of Honda City golden color is poor and gets easily scratched while the paint quality of Maruti is much better.
As far as service goes Maruti is much far ahead. They inform you when service due and collect car free of charge and deliver it back. While Honda charges Rs.350/- for collecting and delivering and also their service station is way out of Delhi on Badarpur Border and the approach road is earthern track full of big pot holes which make it difficult to negotiate in a car.
Maruti is way ahead though both being from the same country.
