The New Indigo CS is superb in terms of style, economy & Performance. Handling of the car is good. New rear tail lamps, good steering which gives a costlier look. Gear rats have changed. Pick up has increased due to less body weight. You get a sedan for nearly a price of a hatchback. good cabin insulation against engine sound

I found it most helpful. But it doesn't mention anything about fuel economy. My take is that Indigo CS gives 20km on long and 16 in the city -- same as my Indica V2.

  2. on 02 Feb, 2008 at 10:35 PM Larry

I was also a owner of Indica V2, but now i have sold it and purchased the new indigo cs-ls. The fuel economy of this car is about 20-25km per litre on highway which also depends on driving condition as it holds a Latest Euro-III TDi engine which gives acceleration of a petrol in economy of diesel.
This car is ten times better than the Indica V2

Has any one got any thing on the petrol version. i found that the the petrol engine is only 1200 cc,and i am apprehensive about the power out put with the ac on in the petrol version.

I'd been driving Indica petrol for a long time... A week ago, I shifted to Indigo CS diesel. Has anyone felt that the speed showing on the panel is incorrect? Or Am I feeling so as I shifted from a petrol to diesel and that I am giving more accelaration?

V K Panchal, greater NOIDA :I have been driving a santro for last five years and now due for change.. Is it good to go for Ingigo -CS as I drive 80 KM each day and am looking for savings on fuel expanses ? Has any one studied the engine performance for CS ? Is it the same engine as on INDIGO older versions? The reviews on Indigo older versions especially on Diesel are not encouraging.

I THINK THE PRICE IS HIGH FOR INDIGO CS- GLS (PETROL VERSION IT SHOULD BE 3.50 LAKH MAXIMUM) I feel it is charged 50000 extra

I'm planning to buy TATA Indigo CS. Can you please tell me how is the performance of the engine.I've found in a comment that steering response was a bit vauge and unresponsive, is it right?
For long run (economy on milage and maintainance, performance) whether should I go for this petrol
version or it will be better if I go for the diesel version. you have written about the mileage, whether thats with AC or without AC.Is there any option for putting central locking and pwer wndow separately

  29. on 20 Jun, 2008 at 11:36 AM Larry

U can go ahead with the Indigo CS petrol as its a good engine of xeta which is quite efficient. But tata's r knw for there diesel engines, now its your choice

  30. on 30 Jun, 2008 at 11:19 PM Jas Meet (Chandigarh)

can anyone suggets me that as iam planning to buy indigo cs so should i buy tdi version or dicor version?as the dicor engine has a better pick up & good mileage than tdi?

  31. on 01 Jul, 2008 at 10:02 AM Larry

U can go with TDi as it is recommended engine as Dicor engine is facing AC problems low cooling, bad sounds in start up, TDi engine has started in 2005 so Tata is well versed with it. But acceleration is less in TDi than Dicor. Tdi gives an mileage of 14-15kmpl in city and about 18-20kmpl on highways which is one of the decent mileage any car can give with an economy of diesel. But please use only Hi-Speed diesel for achieving these figures.

i would like to by indico cs but which petrol or disel

  37. on 20 Jul, 2008 at 11:36 AM Larry

Diesel car is good in the long run as compared to Petrol ones. People who travel more than 50km in a day should go ahead with a diesel version. Diesel cars are very good for long drives in weekend. On highway it gives a mileage of 18-20kmpl by use of Hi-Speed diesel only. U end up saving a lot on diesel cars. Diesel cars are even capable of carrying good amount of luggage. Tata's cars are very low in maintenance as i m owner of Tata's cars for past Five-Six years and haven't faced any problems.

Hi Larry! I am planning to go for Indigo CS-Diesel, but am confused over TDI and DICOR. Kindly advise. I already own an Indica V2-(2002) so would love if the noise is reduced and the pickup is increased in Indigo CS.

Please advise whether I should go for Indigo CS-TDI or Indigo CS-DICOR.

  45. on 02 Sep, 2008 at 09:49 PM Ramesh (Hyderabad)

I am going in for Indigo CS petrol version. Can anybody tell me what mileage will it give and its performance compared to diesel version

  49. on 03 Oct, 2008 at 04:30 PM Naresh

Please clarify me the Indigo-CL LS prices for TDI and Dicor...
Tata homepage suggests them to be 4.15 and 4.45 resp whereas a dealer told me the prices to be 4.45 and 4.89 respectively...
I mean almost 30-40k xtra for each version.

Is it b'coz the tata motors homepage is stating prices without any accessories?
