I HAVE PURCHASED THE AVEO-UVA IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER,2007 AND I AM TOTALLY SATISFIED FROM THE CAR BECAUSE OF ITS FUEL ECONOMY, IT IS GIVING ME APPROX 16-17KMS/LITER IN CHANDIGARH WITH AC. IT IS THE BEST CAR IN ITS CLASS DUE TO PERFORMANCE, STYLE, FUEL ECONOMY AND INTERIORS, VALUE FOR MONEY. THANKS GENERAL MOTORS.

    THANKS FOR WRITING THE COMMENT. FIRST OF ALL THE ROOM SPACE, GROUND CLEARANCE, TURNING RADIUS, WHEEL BASE IN THE UVA ARE MORE APPEALING AND BETTER THAN THE SWIFT AND GETZ. TORQUE OF THE VEHICLE ALSO GOOD. THE ENGINE DOESNT KNOCK WHILE THE CAR IN TOP GEAR AND YOU DRIVE THE SAME IN SLOW SPEED. AFTER SALE SERVICE IS MUCH BETTER AS THE GM IS WORLDS LARGEST CAR MANUFACTURER AD THEY HAVE THE STATE OF THE ART WORKSHOPS. BUT THE SERVICE NETWORK IN THE MAJOR CITIES ONLY. THE MAINTAINANCE COST IS LESS

    GO FOR BASE MODEL OF UVA 1.2 BECAUSE IT IS HAVING THE POWER STEARING, AC WITH HEATER, MATCHING BUMPERS. BECAUSE THE UPPER MODEL (LS AND LT) OF UVA CUT YOUR POCKET MORE BECAUSE OF POWER WINDOWS AND TINTED GLASS REST IS SAME IN BASE MODEL WHY TO SPEND MORE. IF YOUR BUDGET ALLOWS YOU THEN YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM LS OR LT MODEL. OTHER WISE THE BASE MODEL IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT
    THE UVA IS TROUBLE FREE CAR.

    I am also frm Chandigarh. I too have liked this car better than the Swift and i10, but popular opinion is against GM for 2 reasons:
    1. High spares cost and general non-availability of parts
    2. Low value in the used car market whne you want to sell it after 3-5 yrs.
    Any inputs on this?

    THE COST OF SPARES OF UVA IS LESS THAN SWIFT AND GETZ. THE SPARES AVAILABLE WITH STATE OF ART WORKSHOPS OF GM MOTORS.
    2. YES ITS TRUE BUT THE VALUE OF EVERY CAR IN USED MARKET WILL BE LOWER IN FUTURE BECAUSE OF HIGH COMPETITION. THEN WHY TO THINK OF LOW VALUE IN THE USED MARKET

    THANKS FOR WRITING. REGARDING THE SERVICE AND SPARE, MY TWO FRIENDS ALREADY HAVE THE SAME CAR, BOTH OF THEM ARE HAPPY INCLUDING ME. REGARDING COST OF SPARES, THE FULL HOME WORK WAS DONE BY ME BEFORE PURCHASING THE UVA. SAME U CAN DO. I AM GETTING THE FUEL AVERAGE BETWEEN 15-17KM/LT OF PETROL IN CHANDIGARH.     IF YOUR MONTHLY RUNNING OF CAR IS MORE THAN 1500 KMS, THEN THE DISEL VERSION IS GOOD FOR U OTHER WISE GO FOR PETROL BECAUSE IN THE LONG RUN IT HARDLY DIFFRENCE BETWEEN THE PETROL OR DISEL CAR IF YOUR MONTHLY RUNNING OF CAR IS LESS THAN 1500 KMS.

    Hi, I have UVA ls and driven close to 11000 km in a period of 5 months, I am extremely happy and satisfied with my car,in city or highway.Average is good. Why you bother service - service its service free almost. In 10000km you need 3 litre oil and till 45000 km some basic air and oil filters. I beleive as Any car requires it. And yes with respest to segment and industry spares are cheap of chrevolet. GO AHEAD HAVE ONE FOR YOU TOO. NO TENTION . BINDAAS.

The petrol variant will cost Rs 4,49,000 to Rs 5,90,000 and the diesel Rs 5,39,000 to Rs 6,70,000. AND UVA STARTS FROM RS. 3.93 LAC (ex-showroom Delhi)TO RS. 4.73 LAC.     I am thinking of going for U-VA. The only problem I see is interiors. The gray shade looks bit old compared to Getz (which has dual tone interiors). And cost: Getz - 5,00,000 lack and U-VA @ 5,15,000.
    The question is why I should go for costly vehicle with less appealing interiors.
    Please advice.
