Purchased GVS 1.1 model a month back, here is its review:
PROS:
- Easy to get in & out
- Spacious, comfortable, refined, smooth, good suspensions
- Truly a sedan – except for a boot, but still got good boot space of 290L
- Spacious & comfortable drive for rear passengers as well
- Many ppl think of power issue here, don’t bother abt it, its adequate & torque is perfectly in b/w santro & getz 1.3. Torque & BHP is remapped according to the extra weight. 1.1 GVS is 200 kg heavier than santro & 50 kg less than getz 1.3. Considering GVS over santro wld be a wise decision & one would never regret. Moreover its personal driving skill also, many times I’ve been able to beat other cars in a pickup race.
- Trust me one would not think of power issue here, I’d personally bought pulsar bike over splendor for more power & wanted more power over my Alto also, but here I’m so satisfied with d car that I don’t mind lil bit less power !
- Gear box soooo smooth, its like playing with a toy !!
- Hydraulic steering more stable but takes some time to get used to over EPS
- Rear seats completely foldable increasing space to (my guess) 900+L & a person could sit there & relax also, children could sleep etc
- Cubby holes & small storage spaces good enough, 60:40 split in rear seat really helped me
- A/C extremely effective if u close vents on one side, its sufficient / avg with both side vents open & at blower 1st level
- Extended bumpers all round d car. Helps in congested city traffic (like in B’lore)
- Tilt steering v useful & really helps – one can chose whichever position one wants at any point of time at just a lever change

Manoj,
Now I wld suggest not to go for 1.1Getz, I'm not happy with the engine after 2 yrs now. U'll feel lack of power & torque most of the time. Also its a old car now & wld be phased out, go for i10, definitely better. Also in DDun, power wld be crucial to you. or go for i20/swift if u can.

1.Extremely spacious
2.IF you are planning to buy 1.1 gvs.. go for 175 tyre. It comes fully loaded with spoiler and orogonal hyundai wheel caps.
3. Fuel indicator helps a lot. Great pick up & power steering just amazing.
4.Its been 6 days since we 've purchased. Its giving 14 kmpl in city( w/o AC).
5.I guess once we are done with the servicing. It mite give up to 16 in city..This takes Hyundai Getz a step further when it comes with Swift.
NO SECOND THOUGHT TO BUY THIS VEHICLE.
GETZ ROCKS!!

more: on highways safety is more imp, so got for Swift Vxi with ABS & safety bags. getz also has 1 v nice feature especially for single users: u can close air vents on LHS completely to double air flow & AC effect only on drivers side. getz has more comfortable rear seats, more boot space, gear shift v smooth, clutch rest pedal, 60:40 rear split + complete foldable, 3 pockets to keep bottles, better rear view while backing etc. swift scores on bigger tyres, speed & acc, slightly better mileage

Hi Kumar, I aslo drove my Getz 1.1 on highway till 130kmph, at which steerign wheel was slightly vibrating, so i guess this one not meant for above 140kmph! Mileage in city = ~12 w/o AC), highway = ~17-18kmpl. Normally its very comfortable & pleasure to drive unless u want speed factor 9then go for swift), otherwise I find getz better than swift on most of the fronts. If ur driving is mostly city go for getz, if ur driving is quite a lot on highways thn go fr swift.UVA falls b/w these 2 acc to m

CONS:
1. Power is adequate but not peppy like santro & swift. One can feel lil bit power shortage at times, but still adequate.
2. Slightly over expensive
3. Getting mileage of around 11 - 11.5 in city with mix of A/C & without A/C and before 1st service)
4. Thigh support is slightly less for driver atleast
5. bad ability over potholes, car seems to sway/move more over potholes
Overall definitely a better buy than santro anytime-one would not regret it even over swift. Driven100kmph sofa

Pros contd...
13. Speed & pickup hardly affected by A/C
14. When car is stationary with engine on, its sooo smooth that I can hardly make out at times that the engine is on !!
15. Clutch foot-rest a great option in all Hyundai cars. Really helps in less usage of clutch & perfect rest for d foot. – A very clever & useful feature.
16. NVH factor very good, with windows closed one’s own horn or other’s horn is just about audible !!
