Well, went for a test drive today. Have mixed feelings. Let me share the +'s first.

1. Good interiors

2. Spacious feel and look

3.Seating position is high ala Santro.

4.Nice power steering (boon in the city, better than Santro)

5. Rear space slightly better than Santro

6. Can drive in 4th gear @ 30 kmph

7. Road noise doesnt percolate into the cabin

Now for the -'s

1. Priced on the higher side.

2.Bumpy ride

3.Doesnt seem like a strong build (like santro again)

4.Requires a quick gear change from 1st to 2nd - tends to drag after 50 kmph..

I've had a Santro for 6 years now and was happy and wanted to look at another car which was similar as a change. Voila after driving the i10 I felt like I was driving another Santro with better steering (which it is since its going to replace Atos (Santro) in mature markets). Hence if you want a Santro look at i10,if you already have a Santro - then look at the Swift or Getz or higher...This car is not in B+ range but in the B range and the extra price is for Interiors and goodies like Airbags,ABS....For those who want a quick City runabout car in City traffic this one makes sense !!!

i had made up my mind to book the i10 next week but after going thru the reviews, i have become unsure and have decided to postpon the booking. rather i would like to go for Santro or Wagon R.

Dear Kantikumar - Given the other options you have stated i.e. Santro/Wagon R - I think i10 is a better option - but little expensive. You will be paying a premium of abt 40 K vis a vis Santro/Wagon R for similar features offcourse the i10 interiors are better and its a new engine...net net if you can afford the extra 40 K go for i10 else look at Santro (Discount of 25 K) or Wagon R

    Hi Ritesh,
thanks for ur valualble suggestions. As we are planning to buy a new car, then whether we should go for ZEN estillo lxi or for santro GL? And as i10 ERA is slightly costlier than santro GL and it is also the newer one , is it worth to take the risk on i10 ?

    Hi Anonymous,

In these days of speedy technilogical enhancements,it makes sense to buy the latest in technology. Between the Zen Estilo/Santro and i10, i10 makes most sense if you have some spare cash. While Santro is a tried and tested car - i10 will replace it for sure if not now, maybe a year ahead. Net Net have the money,go for i10...resale will be better too..

Hi! The i10 automatic hasnt hit the dealers yet and I presume it will take a few days. Automatic i10 makes a lot of sense if you drive a lot in City traffic and can live with a 20% hit in mileage...resale is also difficult since not many customers are aware of the advantages that an automatic offers. The i10 like the santro is an "easy" car to drive with motor assited power steering and small size and an automatic is sure to lessen the pain which we feel when we drive in peak hour City traffic.

    Dear,
I found i10 as excellent car as far as driving is concerned. Power steering is excellent. My Only worry is full beige interiors, difficult to maintain after 3 years looking at indian conditions it will be more dirty.

I was looking for a car after driven zen for four years. What i found about i10 is though the car is better but one higher side on price. I am looking for power steering so will go for zen estilo as am comfortable with Maruti stable

Power steering is excellant. But feel wise Santro seems more stable. Worried about fuel consumption. It is having motorised power steering do not know how long it will last.Prise om higher side.

I have bought I10 Magna Model, Its Very Good Car,and if u compare with Santro, it is now outdated, in i10 you are getting good quality Interior, EPS, Tubeless Tyer, great legspace in front seat, Proper Armrest, Good quality AC such things we r not getting in OLD SANTRO. I would Suggest if you are buying Small Car go for this, Even You can Check All Reviews in AUTO Magazine and AUTO Shows. ITs Great !!! Its new And Excellent Car in Small Car Segment Today!

    Hi friends,

I am confused between spark and i10. Given a price difference of around 40,000 between them (due to the discounts being offered in spark), would spark make a good option? Please advise urgently.

    Thanks and regards,

    deep

    I10 is the best option.

Comparing i10 with Santro or Wagon R, Or Swift (Petrol, below Vxi) or Spark - the interiors and ergonomy are much much better. I had a tst drive recently and the power steering + gear change is really excellant. However, I noticed the ride was bumpy a little at 50 Kmph+ speeds. Only then I realized that it is a B segment car and not a B+. The B+ category (Getz 1.3+, Palio 1.6+, or Swift Vxi/Diesel) offer smoother feeling at higher speeds because of, probably, the extra weight and lower height!

Im driving i10 from Dec'24 and could not face even a single issue. there is nothing common in i10 and Santro. I have exp on both vehicles. Otherwise most of the small cars are same if i10 and Santro is same.

    Hi,

I am in a wheelchair and have been waiting to drive an automatic for a long time. Should I wait for the i10 automatic or buy a santro Automatic?

When will the i10 Automatic be released. The Hyundai folks are hopelessly unhelpful.

    Many thanks.

    hi kartik!
i think i-10 the mileage in city will give 13.5kmpl.
this is the good mileage and maximum for 1086cc like i-10.
