Tata Safari looks good, & is spacious & comfortable.  But it's too big even for highway - in fact, it's more like a mini bus/ truck. It gives a mileage of 8/10 in city & 11/12 on highway.  Driving too is not a big pleasure, except for occasional drivings.  It is meant for a particular type of people/usage only.  Still, there are a few people who go for it but, to my observation, seldom persist with it.  Re-sale value too is not as good.

I also have bought a Tata Safari Petrol VXi 4x4 vehicle just 4 months back and I never felt it's toooooo big like a mini bus/truck as you said. Tata made Safari aimed at for big people who can afford to maintain it. For all others they can choose Indica, Swift, Alto, Getz, Spark, they are not only small in size but also cheap & cute.

There are plenty of big people like you who can afford to maintain Safari but majority of them go for expensive cute cars.

Mr. Cutie Car if you may please let me know which is the cute expensive "car" majority of people go for?

    Mr. Surajae / Suraj Elley,
I prefer to address you/people by name - I hope you like that. Anyway!
Cute means charming & delightful (not necessarily small). Safari isn't cute looking. There are many "cute expensive carS" available in the market - as expensive or more expensive than Safari.

Yes, thanks Pankaj for the clarification. Safari is no way near being cute nor charming nor delightful....If one is looking for these specs in SAFARI they might as well buy a "Barbie Doll". Let the "SAFARI" be -SEXY,ATYPICAL,FUNDU,ADVENTUROUS,ROMANTIC & INDIAN

I agree with Suraj and Shaji, and m still not sure what Pankaj means when he says "Too Big even for highway" if at all it is I think we gonna need Runways for Endeavors and Land Cruisers.
Safari is definitely a Beast on the Indian Roads and not meant for people who look for Cutie cars.

    Surajae/Tarun,
My review on Safari is not aimed at hurting the Safari owners. I have said (in my review) that it's good looking, spacious & comfortable. What I mean by 'too big to be a car' is that it's stature is gigantic compared to other cars, and therefore, is not as much popular/preferred (statistically you two too will agree). Probably I should not have used the expression "mini bus/truck". Anyway! Cheers.

Tarun, Safari is best suited for National & Express Highways (if not runways). And, as you know, we have majority / more number of internal/single-track highways - that too of not so good quality. Therefore, I feel it's too big even for highways (no offence intended). Cheers.

Sunny, you are right. One should know the merits & demerits of the car & then should decide for or against buying it. Safari, as I have said in my review & also subsequently, is indeed a good car. It is big & expensive but if it suits someone, he should definitely go for it. Hope you buy it soon (your dream car). Cheers.

Mr Prasad, I think , its the frog in the well syndrome you have , The safari is a entry level SUV for all people who know what the meaning of the word is . Please look at the American offerings from Dodge , Chevy Ford .....
to understand the meaning of BIG
