after about 2 months and above 2400 kms in the Odometer i am posting my
first review on my Swift VDi . here are the following things i would
like to share with you all.
The Engine is quite Decent
The Power is Quite great and you will never know the diference between petrol and this one.( Good pick upp too)
The Gearshift is also good.
The milage i get is around14-16 in city wid 95% AC on and 18-20 in highway with 40%AC on. i Put Indian Oils Normal Diesel.
Had the First free service last month and it costed me just rs580.
I feel maruti should improve the intrior with Biege color.
No keyless entry is avaible so i had to fit it from the accesory.
As the rear bootglass is small i had to put rear parking sensor for helping me reverse the car and park(it really helps).
I think its worth the Wait and if anyone is looking for it my serious suggestion is goo for it. It Really ROCKS!!!

The 1st Anniversary  Update  -  REPORTING (15,000 kms run )

around 7 months back i upgraded my tyres from 165/80  14" to   185/ 65 R 14 - Bridgestone tyres as i felt the earlier tyres lacked some road grip and the car wasnt sturdy , since the upgradation the Road grip is simply amazing and i still get 14 - 15 kmpl in city and recently i managed to get around 21 kmpl in highways after a 400 kms long journey , right now my car i 15000 km run and is still driving like a GEM , 3 free services are now exhausted and yet to do my paid service!

Cheers,
Sri

I am a bit confused between swift VDi & swift ZXi. I have blocked the car by paying 10,000/- and i'm gonna finalise it on 24th December,2007, so if any body can assist me i'll be obliged. My usage per month is gonna be round about 2000 - 2500 kms.

    Regards,

    Mahesh

For your usage of around 2000 kms a mmonth , the VDI is most suitable , and u=your running costs will be down,

The diesel Swift Gives around 15 in city and 20 in highway , where as Petrol Swift gives 12 in city and 16 in highway,

The Swift Diesel is awsome and Has good pick up too , so go for VDI

    Cheers

hi sam , for you both will be same , the iitial cost of vdi is around 80- 1 lakh more thn the vxi , but your running costs will be much cheaper say aroubd 2.2 rs per km cpmared to 3.6 of vxi ,and also the resale value for vdi is around minimum 60k moere than vxi.

I would suggest you to go for the VDI if you keep the car for another 5 years or so on , if you plan to keep a car for 3 years then VXI will be ideal above 3 years means around 4 or Above go for VDI

    Cheers,
    Sri

    Hi
Decision on a new car is taking time.Currently I own a Maruti 800. Want to move to a veichle with BOOT Choices r Swift; Dzire;U-Va; Aveo
Aveo - superb interior mileage have doubts city 10kms, highway 15kms is it True??
U-Va - Bad looks .sceptical of Spare costs ( after 3year packge). Inside is comfotable
Dzire or Swift - Bad interiors when compared to Chevy. Back seat no leg room.Rattles badly after sometime
Only other option Honda City- Price A BIG LEAP
Pls analyze in detail n reply
