hello vivek, yes u may have heard true about the sound but with vista 1.3ltr quadraget, it is very much refined & u cant come to know that u r sitting in a diesel car, its the same engine which is already there in swift & palio diesel & u can even consider palio multiget, which has also very good build quality & is a sturdy & stable car. only the interiors in it are not that modern but if u like than it is very good car.

Indica Vista QJD, very new, very fresh, totally different n cool interiors, pricing is also good, go for top end model if you can stretch your budget over 5lacs.

If your usage is more, consider Diesel, as suggested before.  Diesel cars are very refined & have only a little of more maintenance & service cost. They are economical (cost of diesel) & fuel efficient (more mileage).  Performance/pick-up is virutally as good as petrol.  In fact it is sturdier, stronger & has better longevity & therefore has better resale value (& cost a little more too).  As suggested before, consider between Swift & Vista - but you will have to stretch your budget a little.

But if your usage is less than 1K, consider Petrol.  1.2 Kappa is a good choice.  It has new/better technology, good power/torque & is also fuel efficient.

thanks all for ur valuable tips. as no body suggested indigo cs, so i have dropped idea of cs. finally i concluded that

1 if i go for diesel - indica vista only.

2 if for petrol - yet to finalized between :

(a) swift  (b) i10 kappa    ( both come under 4.5l)

as swift has more cc while with kappa more features.

here i needs ur help.

hello vivek,

yes in diesel vista would be a better choice to go with & in petrol i10 kappa is the car to go for, it is better than the swift. it has good interiors, better technology & is much peppier to drive & would give better mileage than the swift.

  • Swift has 1298CC engine that delivers 87ps of power @ 6000rpm & 113nm of torque @ 4500rpm, and generally gives mileage of 12/13 in city & 16/17 on highway.

  • i10 Kappa has 1197CC engine that delivers 80ps or power @ 5200rpm & 111nm of torque @ 4000rpm, and generally gives mileage of 13/14 in city & 17/18 on highway (same as i10 1.1, if not more).

In my opinion, i10 has better maneuverability, especially in city driving.  It’s equally good on highways but Swift has better road-grip.

i10 magna 1.2l kappa engine is new technology and its easy to drive i10 in city traffic, swift is not as good as i10 for city driving because of shape, on the other hand, as mentioned by Pankaj... for highway driving... Swift is having better road grip.

If you are not in hurry.... You can wait for Diwali, I hope every company will announce discounts on diwali.

The choice is good.  Wait till Diwali if you can - best discounts are offered during that time (not far away).
